Djokovic's Consistency

If it were not for Federer, you could claim that Djokovic was the most consistent player at Grand Slams in the open era.

If Federer had not defeated Djokovic in the 2011 French Open semifinals and 2012 Wimbledon semifinals, Djokovic would have had a streak of 10 consecutive Grand Slam finals. If Federer never existed, the longest streak was 5 consecutive grand slam finals.

If Federer never existed, we would marvel at Djokovic's 13 consecutive semifinals, considering the previous longest was 10.

If Federer never existed, we would be talking about how if Djokovic reached the semifinals at the 2013 U.S. Open, he will have reached all four Grand Slam semifinals in a year for 3 consecutive years. No other player in the open era has even achieved in two different years, much less, consecutive years.
