Doubt they are concerned about a forum full of over-the-hill 3.5s convinced they play better with a 365 sw 95

I prefer babolats. I have used them since I’ve hit highschool pretty much. I used prince before (titanium- to first graphite). I’m also only 25 so what’s popular or who endorses certain frames may play a role too. Ironically I’ve switched to older babolats as I like them more. Mostly the cortex to gt era. If I was to switch to another brand (I don’t Plan on it). It would be yonex since they’re lines are more similar and I like their forgiveness

I’ll be consistently loyal to Angell racquets, nothing feels quite like them and the enjoyment of using a smaller brand feels more personal

Racquet geeks here love nuances between racquets. It's harder and less interesting to talk about with Babolats outside the Strike 97. It's just all about results. And they've been the industry leader in power and spin racquets for so long that everything gets compared against them. That's more interesting to explore than just revisiting the benchmark itself.

There also might be a bit of signaling--I think many people who frequent this forum would prefer not to be seen as a "Babolat guy" for whatever that would convey.

As I write this, it's hard to be specific, but surely you know what I'm talking about

I’m loyal to the Babolat Pure Control...certified Strike hater. They need to bring back the PC95+, at this point I don’t care if it has the ugly strike paint job & name.

The throat on the strikes is straight up foul! Ned’s to be more of a “Y” not “V”

Babolat's axing of the Pure Control / Storm line was a real shame. I was a Pure Control Zylon (eventually re-branded as the Storm) user as a scrawny teen then a Pure Control user in the last year of high school and into college. Those two lines worked well together and, in my case, held a loyal fan for nearly 12 years. Instead, they opted for the Strike which is a lame imitation at best with its tapered beam and god awful paintjob. The latest edition's PJ isn't too bad, but the prior one with the red bumpers and STRIKE STRIKE STRIKE on the throat looked like a child's toy. Granted, I've only played with a handful of Strikes (last gen 98 16x19, black with red stripe one from a couple years ago) but I'm in "old man yelling at cloud" mode and deeply resentful of change.

“Recently”……. it has been a pair of Head, , then a pair of Babolat, then a pair of Wilson, then flirted with a Yonex, then back to a pair of Wilson, then a pair of Head, then a pair of Wilson, then a pair of Babolat, then a pair of Wilson, the a pair of Head racquets.

Now I am eyeing a/a pair of Yonex, cos just seen AA used one…. How sad…. LOL

AA using a Yonex Percept was a weird sight indeed. Doesn’t he still have a contract with Head? Maybe not …

I don’t think AA was ever “loyal” to any brand. It was business for him; while he was on tour, he always preferred the POG. He was loyal to his rubber band dampener.
