Why are you monkeying around with the picture, first changing it and then removing it?

I love monkeying around, why? If you want the pictures I'll send them to you personally :)

lol im practicing with my coach right now, and its canada right, so its like 2 degrees celcius outside... but its good practice, cuz it makes playing indoor that much easier.

lol he said when i win a french open, i have to remember practicing in the middle of november outside in canada :)

"2 degrees celsius"? Speak English, kid. I'm an ignorant American who doesn't understand celsius and has no interest in learning it, so I don't know if that's freezing cold or scorching hot.

Celsius is a kind of mixed green salad served before dinner at your better restaurants. There's a guy who walks around with a big wooden grinder asking if you'd like "soma freshsa peppa" on your Celsius.

That's the word on the streets, anyway...

Playing in the winter is the payback for slogging it out through the summer.

Try playing your league regionals in the middle of a Florida summer.

Spare a thought for those of us that don't know how to use Farenheit. I've been using a calculator to understand most of these posts:

Farenheit to Celcius conversion: C = (°F − 32) / 1.8

You Americans should consider changing. Farenheit is rubbish. You must have a nightmare at school during physics. All those temperature equations, and you have to go through convert them to Kelvin.

Incidently, I don't get why the whole world just doesn't use Kelvins, but I'll save that for a different rant.

well 36 F is 0 C... so it would be 40 F ish?

I thought 32F was 0C.

oh 32? k im probably wrong

but celsius is easy to remeber. water freezes at 0 and boils at 100, whats easier than that? :)

varuscelli, even you have to agree with that one :D

Does wearing gloves mess up your feel for the racket/ball?

Sorry for the late reply, haven't looked in odds for a while. They don't really affect your feel very much, just a little bit more muted, but they make it a tad bit harder to grip. Not enough slippage to make it not worth my hands freezing off though:o

Yeah, as a matter of fact, I do. :)

What happened to the "backhand" photo that was also posted earlier in the evening? Are you renting these photos by the hour or something?

I've played at near freezing temperatures, around 0 (I'm Canadian). I really don't like it, I don't think its as intense. I definitely notice a drop in performance when I play in the cold.

You're not the only one who feel this way :)

Anyhow, medium cold weather down here in the south = no sweat = no slippery grip = fun :D

It didn't pass TW censorship. :) How about some of your pictures playing in the snow?

Just wondering Rafaello, do you ever use your left arm for anything? It looks a bit odd keeping it by your side in those two photos.

Yeah, thanks for noting that, mate. Give me a lesson

Actually, it's just the pictures. I do use it but maybe my balance is a pretty good and I don't really need to swing it too far.
BTW, let not discuss why wicked left arm. This is a post about winter tennis. Any more pics. I want to see Wellington boots, fur coats and hats :)

Nice photos. I'm guessing you're about a 3.0 at best.;)

Thanks for your opinion. You must be really good. Did we play? Otherwise how could you tell that I'm at least 5.0? ;)

Ok. I took another look at the first photo, and I'm willing to upgrade you to a weak 3.5, but that's as high as I'll go.

Well, I'm not satisfied with this grade. You force me to remove the picture :)
