As the title, just wondering if anyone has had arm issues and found the donnay to be as good as the ads imply?
Thanks

My wife had the Head IG extreme OS which gave her arm problems. She moved to the Pro one 97 and her arm issues are getting better.

I don't know about the newer "Dual" frames, but some of the X frames from a year or two ago were not very arm-friendly despite Donnay's claim.

Yes i've been tryin the redondo 98 and exo3 tour, both seem ok but, well you know what it's like to be a racquet junkie, there just might be something more exciting out there!

I've been hitting for a week or two with the Dual XP Black, and it is a pretty interesting feeling racquet. It does have a sort of plush, soft feel to it, and I find it very arm friendly, even with poly hybrid.

I've not hit with any of the others in the line though.

Donnay XP Dual Black

I've been using the XP Dual for 7 months and it does indeed have a very smooth soft feel. I had some arm pain previously but no problem with this racket. A very flexible racket with a little bit of stiffness in the head. It has a good amount of power especially on serves and ground strokes. I bought two frames from TW and don't need the second one. If anyone is interested it is a 4 1/2 grip and never strung. 10/10 condition and $150 shipped in US.

What's your impression of the Dual X-P thus far? Low or decent power? Feel? Serves? Etc?

Well, to be honest, I'm still trying to figure it out. It is about 1/2 oz. lighter than my previous racket, and it does indeed swing through rather quickly. I've been working to try to adjust on groundies with it.

Feel is very good, almost a plush feel albeit in a rather light way.
Serves - placement is easy, I personally would like a little more heft. I'll end up putting a bit of weight on it for just this stroke, and also my backhand slice.
I would say decent power rather than low. I can get good depth without having to work too hard, and still occationally launch 6 ft deep some groundies. So I know the power is there. I'm still dialing in on string setup and tension though - currently in the mid to low 50s.

It's a nice racquet, and I'm enjoying hitting with it.

I have used the Pro One, Formula 100, and now I am using the X-Dual Platnium. All have been arm friendly and I am very susceptible to arm pain.

In all honesty, I believe the Donnay's are about neutral for arm issues. I have the Black 99 and it is pretty good, the Platinum 99 is a bit more harsh.

I believe this has to do with how thin the beam is and if you mishit the ball slightly it is jarring. Not like a Babolat or anything, but its not Fischer or Dunlop 200's either.

Strung with a soft multi or gut you may not have any problems. I've hit with the x/p 102 and it was pretty soft. I have not hit with the 97's, but they are wider beams, so they should be better.

I have had reoccurring tennis elbow since I started playing again about 4 years ago. I played with about 10 different rackets and demoed another 15. Some rackets seemed to help a little, some made the te much worse. Since I began playing Donny's I have had zero elbow issues(about 20 months). All of the donnays seem to be very arm friendly. Even the stiffer/lighter ones are great for the elbow. I am presently using the pro1 16x19, but I have used the platinums and the golds over the last year or so. I am a 4.5 who regularly hits with 4.5 to 5.5 players.

I can attest to this. I play with the standard Xenocore X-Red+ 94 (the heavy one that TW never sold) and it's hard on the elbow. I have to stretch a lot and use a very soft string setup but bar none I've never owned a modern-day racket with as much feel and control as this one.
