Dr. Scholl's Custom Orthotics

Has anyone tried these? They're the "custom orthotics" that you get at Wal-Mart after stepping onto those foot pressure measuring machines. I was wondering if anyone had any experience or thoughts on these?

I've had some pretty bad foot tendonitis, NOT PF, for the past two weeks. The pain is located mainly on the top and outside edge of the foot, and am wondering if these orthotics would help, or if something like superfeet or soft sols will do the trick too. I have generally pretty wide and flat feet, and may think about getting the NB 1004s, but am wondering if a good insole will help in my current shoes.

Good insoles will help any shoe. I've never found a stock insole that isn't made of fairly cheap foam that will compress down within few hours and then be almost useless for shock absorbtion.
I don't have experience with the Dr. School's. The Sof Sole structured insole should be good for relatively flat feet, are thin so they don't cause fit problems in a shoe, but don't seem to last that long. The Superfeet definitely seem to last longer and are thicker. The Blue are for pretty flat feet. There is a Wide Green for medium to high arches, which might be good for you if your feet aren't very flat.
