Do you know this guy? If not, don't make stupid assumptions

I'm just making a point. All tennis clothes are overpriced; you can get the same quality clothes (not tennis-specific) at an outlet for $10-$15 a shirt. Besides, I thought you would be angry at mania because he dissed your clothing line ;)

Well, that can go the same for tennis racquets, yes? If so, then don't buy it, no? It's not like anyone put a gun to your head and tell you to dish your money out, yes?

I don't agree. I've yet to find any shirt from anywhere that's as comfortable and performance orientated as the Adidas Edge '10 polo for instance

I do agree that some stuff is overpriced and not necessarily particularly good (I have about 20 various tennis shirts which I hardly wear now).

The Fred Perry shirts are also crazily overpriced. Nice shirts, but just not worth the money.

^^^^Lacoste polos are pique and stylish. They have heritage and tons of uses.

Tennis polos are only worn on the court and you sweat, stretch , spill, fall and maybe bleed on performance tennis clothes. I was my tennis clothes after every wear since they are soaking in sweat. Casual polos don't take that much of a beating.

Nike polos ( the federer ones) are usually made of high end material that has some nice finishes to it. The polos are form fitting and have nice collars. It doesn't justify the price but they are the classiest polos out there. I can't say the same about the ST polos. They look like they are made of that stiff shiny polyester material.

Can any one comment on the actual quality of the dragon polos or any of ST's polos?

It's not good stuff. I ordered a pair of the "hot wheels" shorts in white and the matching shirt and had to send them back. They were supposed to be white shorts and they had a pink tint, and the shirt ran very small. the fabrics are real cheap feeling too. Way overpriced junk.

You could say the same about some of the recent Nike tennis polo's. Spend a summer in Texas and you'll definitely reconsider wearing cotton on a 100+ degree day. I know my Nadal Double Bold polo got a lot of non-tennis use over the previous summer.

The pique materials, I can imagine cost just as little to produce as some of the current dri-fit shirts.

I'm just as guilty though. I spend the same for fred Perry polo's. Lacoste is just still too box-like for me.

serg has a factory in nam, been there myself. as far as other costs besides manu, there is a reason this stuff ends up at Ross for $8 each and the manu still isn't losing cash.

I know it's overpriced, but they have to pay Novak to endorse it, pay the designers, etc.

I think the stuff is hideous, but it did cost money to design. I'd like to know how much they need to sell to break even.

Anyway I'm not a fan of the dragon thing they are putting on nor the stupid heart logo they tried earlier in the year. Maybe euros like to wear the shirts with a pair of matching nut cutters.

The type of person that would wear that cheesy ed hardy/jersey shore type stuff deserves to get ripped off anyway.

Agreed. I am def guilty of buying many Nike polos. But I get a lot of non-tennis use out of them.

Also to the poster who said about some shirts shrinking in the dryer. Why the hell are you drying your tennis polos? Haha let those suckers air dry, keeps the color and size in good condition
