Dunlop Roland Garros = Slazenger Wimbledon?

My local tennis store tells me Dunlop Roland Garros tennis balls are essentially the same as the Slazenger Wimbledon Ultra Vis. Can anyone confirm this as I would like to buy a case but would have to wait a couple weeks for the Slazenger's. IMO the Slazenger balls have been the best overall ball I could find.

Played both... different balls in my opinion. Different bounce, different fuzz reaction depending on the surface.

For example after 1 hour of play on carpet the Slazengers look like puddles while the fuzz on the French Open balls is intact.

P.S.: You do mean the French Open balls, right? Roland Garros is a series consisting of models such as: French Open, Racing, Slam etc.

I've played with some dunlop championship and they play just great! they are cheap and last a lot wiwth high bounce. I even rember that after a hard 3 set match it still had a just opened fell

IMO Dunlop balls (Grand Prix) are one of the best balls available. I just hope the French Open (Roland Garros) balls are as good.

Yes it's the French Open. Would you say the dunlop are better?

Depends on the surface. French Open and Wimbledon are the high end balls.
French Open are definitely better on clay & carpet. Haven't played them on rebound ace or similar hard courts though to compare.

as i am playing mostly on clay, i confirm dunlop french open is the best choice for this surface

I tried slazenger ultra vis several times and I liked them very much, even on clay.
But they seem to me a bit harder than Dunlop balls (Fort, for example) and more suitable for hard/grass courts

I tried the French Open balls a couple of weeks ago and they were nice- good feel and lasted well, but they were freakin' huge! Way bigger than any Wilson or Penn ball I've used. They definitely had to be pushing the legal limit.
