Dyeing Shoes

So I recently got Adidas a3 Prevails in black/white, but the white mesh parts get dirty really easily.

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to dye tennis shoes with the propper paint and how they went about it.

I'm thinking of getting some kind of gray paint.

Any tips will be welcome.

you can actually go to certain shoe stores that will custom dye your shoes for you without damage to tech and other materials. You just have to find them on the net. As for doing it yourself, i would recommend against it if you dont have any idea what midsoles and tech are actually made of

So... I did it.

Blueish gray paint.
Just painted the mesh on the front, back and the small triangles on the side. I'll hold on painting the heel area for a bit.
I think they turned out OK, all I really wanted was less white to get dirty.

I'll post pics soon. I'm sure those will get more responses :)

that looks wicked! What type of paint did u buy?

I got a paint meant to be used on fabric, cotton and such, I think. I spoke to the store manager and she said it would be ok to use as I did.

I think it turned out OK, still work in progress, and I'll have to clean them carefully afterwards.

So this is where I left it :)
I'm happy with the result, not sure I'll paint the heel area, I think it looks OK as it is.
Any thoughts?
