Everyone Needs to Calm Down

Look, we've all been through this ritual soo many times, and it's got to end. I'm just as guilty as anyone for gloating, flaming, trolling, and, well, just showing miserable character after what I desired went otherwise. Look, Federer fans, and Nadal fans, it's tough for your favorite player to lose, and when someone rubs it in your face, you're going to feel inclined to flame them; this does not make it acceptable. Maybe next time your favorite player loses, you should go for a walk, or try to find the silver lining. Every time one of these events occurs, we get about fifty threads of the same crap, with people either whining or gloating. Can't we all just be friends and appreciate tennis? Let it be!

You gotta give credit to those type of posters because they have passion.

I just hope they show their gf, bf, wives, husbands, kids, and etc. the same passion.:)

But every sport has its 'homerism'. Nothing wrong with that but it does get annoying.

You know you don't have to 'hate' one player because you 'like' the other. I say appreciate both. Nadal and Fed are incredible talents and when play each other it gives Tennis more hype and media attention which is GREAT for the sport!

Nobody needs to calm down! This is a respectred win for NAdal cause he had to fight big time and looked out of it in the 5th at 4-1 down and saving 2 matchs points is gutsy

Give me a break! There's plenty of gloating and flaming going on.

I think a lot of Rafa fans are not gloating. Both guys played their hearts out today and it came down to a couple points at the end. I think many of us have given Roger lots of credit. He certainly has improved his level of play, especially after playing two rather poor matches going into this one.

These guys are both great champions. I think what bothers some Nadal fans is that in your disappointment, you have to find ways to put down Rafa's accomplishments. We aren't doing that about Fed's accomplishments -- he is a better overall player than Nadal. And may be the best over. Which actually makes what Rafa has done even more remarkable, particularly at his age. Right now he's the only guy on the Tour who steps up and makes Roger win the match.

One day Roger will win one of their encounters -- could even be at RG if they both get that far. And if he does, I'm sure he will deserve it. Because it won't be easy, but he'll give it all he has.

Sounds good to me. I went and hit against the wall for a while. A way to vent and practice some tennis too. No need to scream at each other by writing in capitals while nobody can hear me :D

The surprising thing is that VamosRafa is the most unbiased of all the Nadal fans. At least she can look at things intelligently and applaud these guys for a great classic match instead of calling for Federer's retirement.

I'm as unbiased as you can get, being a fan of both of these guys, yet I find myself constantly defending Federer and never defending Nadal. That's because these Nadal fans are just nuts and don't seem to understand tennis.

I'm not a Rafa fan, but I don't hate him either. I'm a huge Roger fan. I say we should stop this kind of threads, and let the players speak for themselves on the court.

Todays match was great somebody had to lose,it sure looked like it was going to be nadal.I do give fed credit for playing that well on the clay.

As far as the cockiest fans i think what i have been reading here from the fed heads for the last couple of years would definitely qualify as the cockiest.

You know the old saying payback is a *****,seems like a lot of them can dish it out but cant take it.

Totally agree

It seems to me the Nadal fans are starting most of the fights and a lot of there posts are not that nice, but it was a good match and Federer is closing the gap it seems. Nothing more to say!
