Fed v Djok certainly has better shot making imo.

Check out the high quality in this one set from MC 2014

Not nitpicking but isnt this the match Djoker had a wrist injury and TTW Nole brigade was crying of below par play from Nole?

Been an utter privilege to watch all three . Different styles all three changed the game in different ways and between them had the greatest matches arguably of all time.

If Nadal isn't fit for rest of the year I think Id quite like djokovic to win the Grand Slam. Im going to US Open and although not the final to actually have been at the tournament. Where history could be made would be simply awesome.

My fav matches between them would be :
1) Nadal v federer w2007 and 2008
2) Nadal v federer ao 2009
3) Nadal v djokovic USO 2010,2011 and 2013
4) Nadal v djokovic FO 2012, FO 2013
5) Nadal v djokovic AO 2012
6) federer v djokovic FO 2011
7) federer v djokovic all USO contests, amazing level every time
8) djokovic v federer w2014.

All of the above were tennis of the very highest order. Those are not in any order btw ive just listed them randomnly

djokovic v federer w2014 was not particularly high quality right?

Here is a new question for @Hitman and everyone else.

Of all the 128 Fedalovic matches, which one is the best in your opinion?
One? You can't be serious, there can't be just one. :)

2006 Rome final, 2007 and 2008 Wimbledon final, 2009 and 2012 Australian Open final, 2013 Roland Garros semifinal, 2014 Wimbledon final.

that below par play was the only in the 2nd set. But of course TTW Nole brigade would want to paint the whole match with the same brush ...

I'm not sure what the number one would be for Federer/Djokovic/Nadal.

I know for certain that Murray vs Djokovic Australian Open 2012 is still my favorite match between them. I'd have to call it the ultimate confidence inspiring Murray loss. It felt like the birth of the Muzziah.

Commentary in that match was legendary. Hope Andy can somehow get that confidence back.

I agree with this, that AO 2012 was brutal. I have seen the highlights many times. After that match I felt The Muzziah had truly arrived and he looked like someone who was going to win slams. One of the best matches of recent history for me.

That was such an awesome match. Hard court tennis at its slugfest finest . Murray was magnificent that day and it was enthralling

yeah definitely, it was great to see Federer win that match, the crowd went wild too, I was in school during that time so was following half of that match on my phone during class lol
lol were you able to get a feel of atmosphere or did you have to have phone on total silence! Good effort though getting away with it.

haha, luckily i got home just in time for the last 3 sets. I still sometimes watch that match, Federers set point at the end of the 3rd set 30-40 on djokovic's serve was something else, and when the crowd responded, was brilliant :)

Federer at that point in time was still practically unbeatable indoors and at times in that match I just sat open mouthed wAtxhing his genius. Djokovic played great as well and I knew that day he would wimbledon multiple times even though he lost .

Yeah Djokovic played great, but it just felt as if no one was going to stop federer that day, thats why I want him to win at least one more wimbledon.

Can't see it this year as he hasn't played enough. It's impossible to win a major so soon after a long lay off. Whether he feels he would have a shout next year if he avoids injury im not sure.

We'll have to just see, I said earlier that maybe this move of skipping the French was actually a smart idea, it'll take some time to get the rust off but that's why he's playing an extra grass tournament. :)

Count me in too. I like all 3 of them for all kinda different reasons. Well, I just love watching tennis and don't have anything against any tennis player.

Different personalities, different game styles ... yet there is something very unique that ties them together and that is not just because they won so much per se. It's hard to explain it. It would take a long post, so maybe later.

True tennis fans can find something great and beautiful in their respective games/personalities etc.

At last, @Hitman! :)

But no Andy Murray? Unbelievable :p
Why is Gurufils not part of this? Unacceptable! He needs to be included with the tree of 'dem!

RIP Hitman 2010-2016. He will be missed. Beloved forum poster and kinda cool guy.

Cause of death: 1st degree triple bagel blowout defeat to the Great Gurufils.

Reply "F" to pay your respeck. Are y'all done or y'all finished here?

And to think, that after this match, which was a blinder, Djokovic went on and played the longest match in GS history, vs Nadal.

If federer won wimbledon that would end any debate as to who the greatest is and would put federer in the muhamed Ali league of greatness

Question to all fellow Fedalovic supporters, Federer is going to be looking to ruin the Murrovic party at SW19 this, if he can get his game clicking again for the next two weeks. He is going to draw one or the other in the semi...assuming that these guys all make it that far, who do you think Federer should face in the semi to give himself the best chance of winning the title?

Is he better off facing Djokovic in the semi or final?

That's tough. From RF's point of view, if he has to face Djokovic in the tournament, I'd probably say the SFs. Close call though - he did beat Novak at the SF stage a few years back and still has the two most recent Wimbledon Finals fresh in memory, so that's probably less of a burden for him. And if he were to win, it would give him a great confidence boost for a Final regardless of who he plays.

Sad to hear about Nadal's withdrawal, btw - hope the Champ recovers quickly.

I would probably agree because he lost a couple of finals to Novak already, but if you look at Novak's recent pattern of peaking, it is normally at it's highest in the semi. USO - Cilic, AO - Federer, RG - Thiem. He has designed his schedule to peak for the semi, and then carry that form into the final. It would be interesting to see if they do play, will they play under the roof. There was a time when under the roof meant game over, but Novak is so good under the roof now also.

And yes, sad about Nadal. We all want to see him play on. :)

Calm down;). If Novak keeps his current level, there is no way Fed'16 is going to be any kind of threat to Ultromania 4 at Wimbledon. The way things are, i will be very surprised to see anything else than a Murrovic final. The only one who can do something about it is the G.U.R.U, and he has been disturbingly absent lately:eek:

quality wise, RG 13 SF 5th set

Agreed. Nadal played some of the best tennis I've ever seen in a grand slam during that 5th set- Nadal hit 22 winners in the 5th set of that match. And Nadal still had enough energy left to wipe away Ferrer in the final, winning his (record-breaking, and he has since incredibly broken that record again) 8th Roland Garros title.

I don't think it is going to make so much of a difference from the Fed's point of view.
