All courts seem to become slower and slower all over the tour during the years. I don’t think it’s only because of Rafa though. Also because serve boting doesn’t bring tv viewers.
I think if Nadal said the court was orange, many posters on here would jump to agree and hold Nadal's statement up as proof it is orange.
Fed is like Wilt, 90% of the rule changes were made to bring them back to the field.
Now that the Big 3 are all past their primes, faster courts would cause them to be frequently upset. I don't see the tourney directors liking that. $
So why are they making the courts slower then?Rating are actually really low now for tennis. If people wanted to see slow court tennis, ESPN most likely wouldnt of dropped their french open coverage
Some dont know what they are lookng at and need others to tell them.
This is kind of out there but it may be because of the wta (they already use different balls to make more ralleys). So why are they making the courts slower then?
Sounds strange they would do that for WTA. Womens tennis is less popular. This is kind of out there but it may be because of the wta (they already use different balls to make more ralleys).
I think the fastest courts are the mens only events. Wtf, paris, shanghi and one more im forgetting. I think the women play at a different location for those events.

People generally like to watch rallies, and not boring service fests, that's why... There could be one fast slam, but no slam want to shoot in its foot, so they give peoplecwhat they want...What I want to know is where are the announcers ripping the tournament for this. Where is Martina, JMac, Shriver etc.? I don’t here them saying anything at all. Tonight Martina mentioned in passing the slow courts as one reason Serena lost. But she spent very little time on it. Blows my mind that every slam surface is now SLOW and nobody seems to care. Why did AO add more sand in the paint? Why are they using balls that fluff up more in use? Can’t we have one slam that rewards aggressive players and players who come to net? Does every slam have to be for the grinders and baseline ball bashers?
Casper played only one match so cant say that courts are slower than last year...I tried to say the USO courts were slow too. I was mocked because of it. Most said courts were fast, some long time posters even used the word “lightening fast”
Lol
Don’t take what people here saying seriously. Trust the players. Casper Ruud said AO courts were slower and had a higher bounce compared to last year. I trust what players that plays the court says the most in these issues.
Yes, it was creepy when Fed said in on court interview he will forgive them (not that words but in that style, maybe he said no hard feelings) ...Also some Australians dared to cheer for Millman. Total injustice.
So you have to play exactly 2 matches before you can say what you think about the court speed?Casper played only one match so cant say that courts are slower than last year...

Millman also commented on crowd not supporting him. Not directly, but he said "some of them got behind me".Casper played only one match so cant say that courts are slower than last year...

Courts are slower in the evening and weather is pretty cool even during the day. Courts always get quicker as the tournament goes on.So you have to play exactly 2 matches before you can say what you think about the court speed?
Even after a set, after 2 games, one can have a clear opinion about the court speed imo. It’s their job and they play tennis every day. Of course they know.

I joked about courts, in plural... He played one match on one court and courts are not exactly the same... I know he surely practiced on multople courts, but angain it was a joke...So you have to play exactly 2 matches before you can say what you think about the court speed?

how is your tooth?I joked about courts, in plural... He played one match on one court and courts are not exactly the same... I know he surely practiced on multople courts, but angain it was a joke...
Haha, good memory... Good, 20 minute routine intervention... Thanks for asking...how is your tooth?
The elephant in the room:
The ATP definitely does not want Federer to keep his GS record, nor any record.
ouch, i can imagine how it feels, but with modern anesthesia there's no need to worry, it's painlessHaha, good memory... Good, 20 minute routine intervention... Thanks for asking...
Seems you can’t spot an elephant in a room. Why is that?
Yes, its good nowadays, no pain in this branch of medicine anymore... When I remember going to dentist 30 years agoouch, i can imagine how it feels, but with modern anesthesia there's no need to worry, it's painless
Seems you can’t spot an elephant in a room.
Courts slower every place, every time.
I really don’t know, but it’s doing all what it takes. Why do you think that ATP does not want Federer to keep his GS record?

It helps but I don’t like it.Because they didn't want people like you out of your daily job (here). If the conditions were not moving towards abominable there wouldn't have been a Major race right now, and Major race is what keeps selling and keeps giving you the courage to do your performances. Without it you would be out (and by "you" I mean all of you). I hope that that answer helps.

You are talking to cia guy, he will find you somehow, kidnap you and you will finish in Guantanamo base...Because they didn't want people like you out of your daily job (here). If you’re still interested in mine after you asked for it, please don’t hesitate to read it above. Thanks. It does not as I am not interested in your opinion nor I asked you. That was question for Sudacafan.

Yes, you are right.. you say you don't take it personally when you are offended but understand offend...He said he doesn't take it personally, that it's nice and that Millman deserves all the support finishing on "you've given me more than you have to" and that he appreciates everybody coming to see him.
So creepy...
Yes, you are right.. you say you don't take it personally when you are offended but understand offend...
Why is he offended is what I wonder...
We can't discuss things that are said and done in tennis world?I think you better wonder why you're wasting your time trying to badmouth the lovely Federer.
Excellent point. The moment Novak or Nadal retires, most of their fan bases here will disappear. They are fans of one player and not tennis fans, as their mass collective ignorance about past ATG's eloquently shows. They had no favorite player in the past because they never watched tennis before 2015 or thereabouts. If Federer's records aren't broken, the chain of idol worship is broken .. and along with it goes a whole bunch of fans who follow stats and slam counts rather than tennis.
