Feliciano Lopez on Grass!

With Lopez losing a lot of his points afte rnot defending Queen's, he is ranked as an unseeded player at WB. He is a very great player on grass, and has won Queen's more than once, and only got beaten by Kyrgios in Queen's this year, he could make an upset, so this is not an opponent I think top seeds would want to meet.

Lopez has only won Queen's once, last year, beating this year's champion, Cilic. He also made the final in 2014 but lost a very close one to Dimitrov (3 tie-break sets).

He is going into Wimbledon ranked 70. That's not just because of one loss. Dangerous floater, sure, but doesn't deserve a seeding.

I actually thought he had won it twice or three times, well he has been in 2 finals.

He is for sure one of the more dangerous floaters for Wimbledon. I dare say this could be his last year on tour playing singles, or probably next. Would be good to have a nice run.

I guess there's a reason why Feli never made it to the top 10.

Solid player with a good serve, but just not consistent enough with the results. Also feel like his 80-90% chips ahoy backhand held him back from being a top ten player. If he had developed a more reliable and consistent topspin backhand, it would have helped him achieve those results.

Lopez has never beaten Murray in 11 meetings. Their only match on grass was 7 years ago in the quarter-finals of 2011 Wimbledon which Murray won in straights.
Lopez regularly beats Muzziah in the Scottish Cougar Open when it's competed on the very fast satin sheet surface.

Really needs to stay on his specialty clay surface, no?

Feliciano Lopez is good, but have you ever watched Feliciano Lopez ON GRASS?

Did somebody say "on grass?"

Feli has a beautiful grass game and his movement is still quite good (along with his serve). But he's almost 37 and isn't any threat in a major. He wasn't even in his prime. Sure, he could take out a big player on any given day, but a 4R showing for him would be excellent. Would be shocked if he made it further than the QF's.

Easy there, bro! It was Lazarinka he played. I'm curious how well he does vs Edmund.

Murray and Edmund have met twice, both times in 2016, with Murray winning both times. Their only previous grasscourt meeting was at Queen's where Kyle took a set off Andy before losing in 3.
