for serve & overheads, dark sky/background seems to change my depth perception... one trick is to keep my left hand up longer to use as reference (like a painters thumb)... it's also the "right way" to hit serves and OH's... at least 1 server in the vid drops his left hand too fast (common at all rec levels IMO).Some reason I can't serve as well at night.
I think your serve at 1:35 was in.
3.5 == lines are outI was. I did a frame by frame check. Funny thing was it was a 2nd serve so it's not going all that fast!
Maybe 40+ eyesight in the night is not as good
Really? I saw it out! It was too flat.I think your serve at 1:35 was in.
Looks more like 3.0

I also get T-rex arms when playing matches. Hopefully as I play more matches I won't be as tense.
I'm in blue with no hat.
You are right. There was another serve later that was a 2nd serve that was CLEARLY inside the box and the partner just lifted his finger to call it out but everyone stopped except me. I messed up the shot after I noticed that no one was moving :\Really? I saw it out! It was too flat.
I'll keep posting them up every now and then. I do hope to get better but with a 3 year old and 5 year old it's tough to find time to practice
Thanks for comments!
For background I was bumped this year to 3.5. Last year I was in state 3.0 40+ and didn't drop a set. I admit I don't play very well in doubles yet.
I find it difficult to pick shots and end up worrying too much about 2 people on the other side. It's like I keep thinking to hitting the shot to avoid the front guy and then end up hitting a MEH shot (T-rex armed). In singles I have SOOOO much more time options!
I have to somehow transfer my practice match strokes to actual match play.
Also this was line 4.
I'll try to see if I can get a singles game taped. I'm hoping it will be better than this.
