What iteration of the POG are you using? As far as I know all the POG's have been 19mm.

Good point. I'm using the re-released Tour 600 version that was recently discontinued.

Thanks for the post. Good feedback. It sounds like we are probably around the same age if the Response is what you were swinging in HS. I've tried making the switch to more modern rackets but find myself coming back to the POG due to its stable feel. Most modern rackets, at least the ones my arm can handle, feel flimsy to me. Modern rackets like the Pure Drive and AeroPro feels very stable to me but I can't play them because of what they do to my arm.

I'm getting to the age where I'd like the racket to do a little more of the work for me but I'd like to maintain a stable feel. That's why I was thinking the Response might be a decent option. I'm not interested, though, if it's demanding like the old Pro Staff series. What do you feel that the 98ESP does that the Response doesn't do?

It's nowhere near as demanding as the pro staff line, a difference of day and night.

I would classify the response bordering on the cheater category, not there but not that far away.

However it does feel solid and stable, lots of power and spin when compared to any of box beamed rackets.
