forehand help!

i m having trouble finding my forehand. Everytime when i try to hit a forehand with topspin, i usually try to brush the ball from low to high, but this just causes the ball to go too high across the net... it's more like a semi-lob than a topsin forehand. I am also having trouble finding my sweetspot on my racquet. Any tips on how i can improve my forehand n finding sweetspot?

You just can't brush the ball, you have to hit through it also.

You might be getting too much racquet under the ball and golfing it up. Racquet drooping, wrist movement in the wrong fashion, leaning back, or hitting too far in front can cause you to hit the ball upward too much.

I think I used to have a similar problem. I just fixed my grip to a semi-western and it all went away tho.
