Uploaded 2 videos courtesy of procompare, one shows Agassi hitting a ball at shoulder height and another one of Blake hitting a forehand at waist height.

My question is what is the advantage and disadvantage of both. I know Blake uses a Semi western grip but what grip is Agassi using?

Thanks

I use semi western and i love shots that are shoulder length, you can crush them and put good topspin on it.

I'm no expert, but from personal experience I can hit flatter with more power at shoulder height and with more topspin and control when it's waist height. I use an extreme eastern grip.

AA is one of the best strikers of the ball that ever existed which allowed him success with hitting the ball on the rise. The biggest advantage is the ability to take reaction time away from your opponent. Blake extends a lot more energy to get the ball at waist than AA at the shoulder height.
