Where were the 1893, 1901, 1904 and 1907 championships played (Men's tournament), I wonder??? The 3 usual candidates were: The Racing Club, Ile de Puteaux and the Tennis Club de Paris in Auteuil (though not in 1893 because the club wasn't opened until 1895).

Who are the detectives amongst us?

Another question. Are we certain that all of the Men's French Closed Championships from 1910 to 1924 inclusive were all played at the Racing Club de Paris?

For the original few years 1891+ yes it was held at the RCF..........and it was NOT grass. The original surface was either Sand or Clay depending on the year. It became 100% brick clay after 1900.
