Fullbed ZX and tension

I have been playing lately due to pain (mild GE) with NG/poly at 26/24kg. Problem is i cut mains at 5-6 hrs max. As a former user of ZX I tried it fullbed at 26/25. Prestretched the life out of it and strung it. I used a winch to prestetch it so you get the idea. First 4 hours felt boardy at slow soeed hits, but when the heavy hitting started it was fantastic. I felt the necessary pocketing i wanted. After 6 hiurs of heavy hitting it dropped tension and settled there. Only
problem is that it is a bit too powerful now. All other characteristics are intact. So i was wondering if the most experienced folks here have an idea on how to avoid this power increase due to tension loss. Stringing higher is one thing....how about hybrid the ZX or have higher cross tension than mains?

I like NG/ZX - 55/57 try. Only thing is ZX eats gut. But if you are cutting at 5 hours - that won’t be a problem. I get 10-13 hours before gut snaps and it’s playable until it snaps. That setup worked for me until I rehabbed my GE. I now use either triax/ypta or NG/ypta. NG/ypta has been surprisingly playable. I find that I need to cut out strings because of the ypta and not because the gut broke. I tried full bed zx also - couldn’t stand it because of what you describe and also the sound. For GE - I can’t recommend doing the reverse Tyler twist enough. Perfect during conference calls / watching tv / waiting on lines etc.

Got GE from KEV/ZX as a result of the pronaiton on srves. Being playing with that for 6 yrs.
I have started trying ZX/TNT 2 and yesterday I strung with ZX/Iso cream. By mistake the stringer instead of Iso control sent me ISo Cream. I played and it was quite nice I must say.

Could also try string savers to preserve the gut but usually if u can get 10+ hrs out of string bed, that’s pretty good

i have it in the pipeline to test xone/ypta and triax/ypta.
I tried the ZX / Gamma tnt 2 but i coule not get used to the launch angle
i also tried zx / cream (both fully pre stretched). Incredibly soft but also too powerful
Strangely enough i have found full bed oF ZX ( fully pre stretched and I mean more than 70cm out of a 6m piece) to suit my style of play better than anything and to last around 10hrs before it becomes a rocket launcher.

i just strung Zx /irukandji to test it.

Yeah the launch angle of NG/ZX is on the high side also. That would be my only complaint on the setup. But for GE - all other pros far outweigh the couple of cons.

I have used full bed of ZX in the past and it played fairly well. The problem with ZX is even at 60 lbs. it can break while stringing. For me I needed the tension to be up with this string like 64 lbs. and sometimes I could string it that tight and other times it would break during stringing.
But even in the high 50’s it is very playable with a good feel and spin, I like very low powered string beds so straight ZX isn’t that bad just not for me.

I know about how difficult it is to string. I have a Gamma x-Els and it broke 70% of the time when I used the machine pre-stretching. When I pre-stretched it manually and stopped usiong teh machine's option, it breaks 20% of the time. The reason I think is the "jittering" of the machine's head.

I am trying to find a sliippery, low powered and soft poly to pair it with. Any suggestions?
