Reflecting on Rafael Nadal’s Australian Open crown after calling the Spaniard and Roger Federer as “greatest champions in the history of tennis”, Richard Gasquet has not forgotten Novak Djokovic who is, according to him, the only one who can deprive Rafa of a 14e coronation at the Porte d’Auteuil next June.

He’s such a monster of tennis that he’s always the favorite, even without being prepared. It’s Nadal. I’m not even surprised with his victory because I know the guy he is. It was nice to see him, I was happy to see him win. I supported him from the beginning to the end of the tournament, because he is someone I particularly appreciate. At Roland-Garros, I don’t see who can beat him apart from Djokovic. It is prodigious.

I don’t know if he has the guts to pull it off, next genners almost always disappoint and Medvedev cemented that feeling. I would favor either Nadal or Djokovic over anyone else.
