Yeah, it's like when someone produces some amazing shot or thing or whatever and someone exclaims "get ouutta here!!"

Groth knew Rafa had an injured wrist and he wanted Rafa to withdraw from the tournament for his own health and "get out of town, mate".

Obviously if Rafa wasn't injured, Groth couldn't have won as many games as he did

As far as I know that was the only time Fed has ever tipped his hat to his opponent out loud (so to speak) while still in play. Yes, a very appropriate reaction. ;)

It's a Straylian compliment.

Presumably he was suggesting that Nadal should decamp to the boonies.

Same as 'get out of here!'.. It basically means 'that's unbelievable!'. And 'mate' is just 'mate'. :D
