Federer-Nadal or even Borg-McEnroe at Wimbledon are better for me. Less matches, but higher quality overall. All finals. Much bigger historical consequences.

Here the best matches was not even in the final and the best match (probably 2011) is still not that great as W 2007, W 2008, W 1980 or W 1981. Just the number of matches cant make it great (look at Nadal-Djoko or even Nadal-Fed RG).

A one-sided rivalry though, like Djoker-Murray at the AO.
One-sided says the result; not the significance of the rivalry.

It stamped Rafa's credentials as greatest claycourter ever. It gave Roger the credential that how much he was available everytime on the call. The only time Nadal wasn't there, he took it. He made himself available, and that definitely adds a vote in his support in an argument on his clay court resume. It made Fed career slam sweeter. It gave dimensions to their rivalry on other surfaces.

It doesn't need explanation, really!

He missed 19 BPs in the final, not 23. And the score was 6-4 5-7 6-4 6-4, you posted the AO16 score.

And I'd take Federer - Seppi as the greatest rivalry.

Maybe but Federer was moral victor in 2011 so that taints the rivalry imo.

Fedal at Wimbledon I'd say is number 1. Fedal and Nadalovic at RG are heavily one sided to Nadal so not those.
