Can I just put in a vote for Phil. Witty and acerbic, fun to read his posts.

Particularly "6'4" - I didn't know they could pile it that high" - that's sheer class.

Unlike all all of the humourless pompous college kids who've been sounding off against him.

Back to the original topic: Slash 'n Dash (Slice and approach), Rush 'n Crush (Get to the net at all costs and CRUSH the ball), Baseline Basher, Slasher (also known as a shot-maker).

OK, you guys go back to beating each other up, again.

Phil heard that joke on tv and just HAD to use it ASAP. We didn't even get into a discussion of how tall we are, cheap, Phil.

Yep, just what I though, C_urala is Phil's biatch. Don't stop suddenly, Phil, you'll get C_Urala's nose up your a_hole. Then again, is it you that rims him?

If you are in the mood of calling names, I don't mind. I just wonder why do you think I support Phil?

Well, you didn't answered it the first time, so it would be naive to wait it this time. Anyway I'll try it. What was the reason?

To me, Pusher means a player whos only tactics is to return a ball. Always from the baseline, usually with middle pace, mostly cross court.

I think, from stuff I read a long time ago, that Marat Safin has the same definition of "pusher". He said that he started to get results when he started "pushing" the ball back, rather than just going for a winner. Of course, that was a few years ago -- in conjunction with his U.S. Open win. I didn't do any reseach on this; just remembering what Safin said on this issue. Not that he's any expert.

The good Senator from the state of, I-don't-know-where, knows how to rap out his message. The way things are going this year in the national election, I may write him in.

Camilio, LMAO at that one.

Jun - WTF are you? Never seen your name on this board, never responded or took offense or notice of anything you ever wrote and only NOW, you decide to jump on the pile with 2 posts-that's what it must take for you to find some balls-to have a leader to follow, like the little lap dog biatch that you are..

Phil, I hope no one stoops to your level after that last post. You seem very troubled, please get some help.

Alan, I don't think Phil feels he needs help. Remember, it is much more comfortable to be mad and know it, than to be sane and have one's doubts. Best to just be mad.

@wright - Again, you're certainly not one to be casting stones. All this talk of clowns now remindes me that you're one of the saddest species known to man-an UNFUNNY Clown. Anyway, keep on posting; I'm sure you'll hit 2,000 by late summer, and if you follow me around like this, you'll even add a few more to that total.

in my terminology, I would say that he started to play "percentage tennis"
