To me, Pusher means a player whos only tactics is to return a ball. Always from the baseline, usually with middle pace, mostly cross court.

I think, from stuff I read a long time ago, that Marat Safin has the same definition of "pusher". He said that he started to get results when he started "pushing" the ball back, rather than just going for a winner. Of course, that was a few years ago -- in conjunction with his U.S. Open win. I didn't do any reseach on this; just remembering what Safin said on this issue. Not that he's any expert. :lol:
