Let's face it. Tennis is boring right now with Djokovic winning everything and Next gen being a joke. Fans need something to be entertained by even if he's controversial. Hopefully the tennis gods will smile down on Medvedev tomorrow and end this bore.

How is Djokovic winning everything? He won 2 Slams and a Masters tournament. Winning everything was what he was doing in 2011 and 2015 when he had 4 and 5 Masters by this time and 2 Slams. Nadal is actually leading the race right now. Just say you don't like Djokovic winning and let's leave it there. Lol. The truth is, Djokovic is a big draw and these comments from Groth are so laughable they don't deserve a rebuttal. Fedal had the full floor in 2017 and the ratings here in the US were abysmal for RG, Wimbledon and USO finals. Nobody was interested in watching them beat up on guys that had no chance in winning. Throw Del Potro and Djokovic in the USO finals, and the ratings went up. Put Djokovic and Federer in the Wimbledon final this year, and the ratings were the highest in 7 years. So you might be bored, but not everyone else is at least. Djokovic has been in the driver's seat of this sport since 2011 so to now say it is boring with him at the forefront when he has in a way helped carry this sport is nonsense.

Federer didn't play RG. Nadal lost to Muller at Wimbledon. Freaking Kevin Anderson was in the final at UO. If any of those had been a Fedal final, I think you know that the ratings would've been high. I mean cmon.

Federer didn't play RG in 2016 either and Nadal withdrew in the 3rd round, and the final was still higher rated considerably with over 400 k more viewers. Nadal had lost early at Wimbledon for 6 years at that point so what was new about that? Yea and Kevin Anderson played Djokovic in the final in 2018 Wim and they still had higher ratings than that 2017 USO final even though the WC final was on during their match. So this idea that it's boring when Djokovic is winning is crazy, when Djokovic and also Murray helped carry this sport in Fedal's absence, and Fedal's numbers were not through the roof when they dominated just 2 years ago.

First of all, I never said that Djokovic is boring. I watch a lot of his matches. Almost as many as Fed's. A lot of Nadal matches too when I'm in the mood to put up with 40 seconds between serves. The main thing here to me is that he's won 4/5 slams and the results at Masters this year from other players hasn't amounted to a hill of beans in majors. It's just boring to see the same guy hold up the trophy over and over and over again. That's all I'm saying. If people aren't sick of it yet, they will be soon.

I know you didn't and I misspoke, and you will notice I edited my comment. I'm just saying the numbers say otherwise and it doesn't add it up to make comments like his winning is boring or drawing less interest to the sport. If you are tired of seeing the same guy hold the trophy over and over again, then you should be tired of seeing Federer hold it as well considering, he has 4 more of them.
