Yep, I saw it on Sky Sports and what a match Henman V Hewitt for the first round. I know Hewitt isn't in the best of form but he still manages to produce his best against Tim.

Ferrero and Bjorkman also seems like a good match. I hope Ferrero is back to form after his poor displays recently.

Godbless the TMS events, what would the game be without them?

And come on Tim and JC!!!!

?

Hennman got screwed...Hewlitt in the first round? How can they have a slot for qualifier vs qualifier and have these two guys playing each other in the first round?

Paradorn? I like him but is he supposed to be good on clay? Marat smoked him.

No Roddick...he is too nervous for clay anyway

where's Mardy Fish?

LMAO, Paradorn on clay is like Bamby On Ice, and it leaves you crying at the end.

It's not exactly pretty, PCMD gave us some facts about him on clay a couple of weeks ago and they didn't make the best reading!

Nice to see Juan Carlos back. Hope he's healthy.

I wonder if Robby Ginepri will manage to squeeze past the qualifier?

WC = wildcard. Paradorn is straight horrible on clay. Once again, his total carrear win/loss on clay is 7/17, that is so bad it's scary. LOL, but whatever, he probably doesn't even care. I think the best he's ever done in one year is 2 wins, only enough to make a quarter in the smallest of tourneys, and I don't even think he did that.

Here's my round up of the first round matches (which are crazy, every match will be good it seems): Hewitt over Henman, Fed over Gaudio (close), Gonzo over Lopez (this will be fun...), Ferrero wins, Haas over Spadea, Saretta makes third round (VAMOS), SAFIN OVER GROSJEAN!!!!, Schuettler out either first or second round (hahahahaa), etc.

The second rounds could be the best. Geeze, anyone can win this tourney.....

BTW, I didn't notice Calleri in there. Where is he anyways?

Gaudio over Fed in 3
Lopez over Gonzo in 3
Grosjean over Safin in 3 (He sucks against O. Rochus who plays the same game as Grosjean only worse)
Haas over Spadea
Tim over Lleyton in 2

It's gonna be lot's of fun!

gustavo33,

Are you serious? Hewitt is shocking on clay and Tim is in the best clay court form of his life.

It should be Tim and that will give him confidence if they meet at Wimbledon.

hewitt kills henman on grass and hardcourts
clay gives him more time to return tim´s serves and gives him a better chance to pass henman

yah but hewitt relies on his opponents power so he can use their power against themselves, he doesnt have that advantage on clay...

Fish is resting his hip.. He had an MRI and it was negative for a cartilage tear, but there's some tendinitis. From mardytennis.com

How quickly everyone forgets about Ferrero. He should be 100% recovered from the effects of the chicken pox and should also be WELL rested. For an in form JC he has a great draw! I look for Ferrero to re-claim his spot and the world's best dirtballer in Hamburgh. As the defending champion and with the best clay court resume in the last few years, he's still the best untill beaten in Paris.

It is pity that Ferrero is struggling with something (Chickenpox?)
He might not be able to qualify for Masters Cup if he continues to struggle on clay and will drop in rankings. Clay still by far his best surface.

Is that the entire draw? Are Agassi and Roddick skipping Hamberg? Gee I wonder why they don't win on clay? Could it be they don't play the Euro clay court lead in tourneys. Come Roland Garros they aren't ready for the Open. Oh well I'm leaving the office in a few to watch on TTC.

Geeze, what is wrong with Ferrero this year? At the start he was alright, but still little minor injuries. Then chicken pox, now a wrist. Hope he can come back soon and terror it up again. He definately won't win RG. And did Hewitt get moved to play Bjorkman now since he's next to be seeded or whatever?

Henman is the luckiest man around right now.....
