Has Nadal scratched capris for good?

It seems like these days he is all about the power board shorts and tape around the knees. I haven't seen him wear true capris for a while now. Is he finished with capris for good? I know it really doesn't matter, but it would be interesting to know if it was something he decided or if Nike said, you know, we can market the longer shorts a lot better than male capris.

Hopefully, although he still needs to wear something baggier to keep it out of his crack. I thought those capris were the dumbest thing ever, then I saw them on my hitting partner, who is a skinny dude and bought them in the right size, and they looked fine.

He's wearing a normal sleeved top and shorts in australia next year, so looks like the end of the capris and maybe his sleevless tops aswell

You think this has more to do with Rafa or Nike? Everyone knows how superstitious Rafa is, so initially changing to longer shorts would have been hard. Then, he has been playing so well with the board shorts that perhaps he just said "no mas" to capris.

Its all about the money

Rafa has been convinced by Uncle Tony and the gang that he will be a lot more marketable, and therefore wealthier, if he bags the capris and long hair. Its all about the money. It always is and always will be.

He changed to the short ones so the tape below the knees is visible, and it constantly reminds the ATP CEOs how the hard-courts are ruining his body.

Well, certainly it's about the money. But I was under the impression that his previous contract with Nike had a clause that he couldn't cut his hair above a certain length. So was there a contract renewal, and was everyone on board with changing the length? (It does seem shorter since Wimbledon, but it was much longer before that.)

And why would shorter hair be more marketable anyway? Some of us ladies like longer hair on the men. The Djoker's haircut looks like a bristle brush.

I can honestly say that Rafa's ridiculous "pirate" look (capris, sleeveless shirt, bandana) has become iconic.

At first I almost laughed. He looked so ridiculous. But, everyone got used to it and after a while it didn't even register.

It will be weird seeing him in something different. But, I'm guessing Nike has to finally make him wear something new to drive new sales.

I heard from somebody of Nike ( quite a top guy) , that next year Rafa will not wear sleveeless for sure.

Probably not Capri anymore.

Hopefully not. We don't need another Federer look. He should stick with his own look. (Capris, long hair, bandana, and sleeveless shirts)

He could be the next Andre Agassi persona that Nike is missing when they released Andre. Andre was a marketing mecca at his prime and Nadal can be the same. This will be another pot of gold for Nike I think.
Federer is marketed differently as a clean cut, serious, professional looking player and he is well suited for that role.
Ever wonder how much worth their contract with Nike?, this 2 must be raking a lot $$$$.
