Head Graphene 360 Speed Pro - Owner feedback requested

I wanted to see if anyone had a decent kitchen scale to weigh their Head Graphene 360 Speed Pro to see where the racquet I like lies in the tolerance spectrum.

I purchased two of these at different times. The first one I'm in love with and found the perfect string setup, etc.

I purchased a second one a couple of months later. When it arrived I strung both with new fresh sets of Technifibre Black Code 4S 17G, have the same dampener, same overwrap, etc.

The new one is both heavier and in addition, the weight distribution is off significantly. I'd say that there's a bigger difference between my original Pro to the new one than the original Pro to either of the MP's.
When I received the racquet from TW, there was a red dot on the racquet with the note that it was 5PT HL (spec is 6HL), so assuming it was one of the racquets they measured when finding a pair for another customer.

I don't have a really accurate way of measuring balance point here at home, but using the tabletop balancing method, the new racquet's balance point is around 4mm higher than the orignal. (32.7 cm vs 32.3 cm)
I'll probably need to cut out the strings and take off the overwrap grip, and take it to a professional shop to get a pure measurement to TW, but to get a reference point from other customers would much appreciate if anyone could give me their racquet weights (and let me know what gauge strings and additional things that are on the racquet - such as overgrips and dampeners.)

Here's mine:

Original 360 Speed Pro (4 3/8): (the one I like)
327g (Technifibre Black Code 4S 17g strings + wilson overwrap grip)

New 360 Speed Pro (4 3/8): (the new one that feels much more powerful, heavier/slower, and unplayable for me)
336g (Technifibre Black Code 4S 17g strings + wilson overwrap grip)

I have 2 speed 360 pros, both were about 307g unstrung when I first got them. I modified them after that but they play identical. I would definitely send the second one you got back to TW and ask for a new one or call a head rep for a replacement

Thank you, super helpful. I had even added weight to the throat to try to get the old one to be closer to the weight of the new one, but I think it's the balance that's the primary driver of it feeling off. Even with 5g added to the throat of the old one, it still felt similar to it's "original" form. The two don't play similarly at all.

I have a Speed Pro, but don't have a scale, however, I would bet it isn't more than 3 or 4 HL, it feels almost even balanced to me. I am dealing with it, but still strange compared to my previous rackets, Yonex Vcore Pro, DR98.

+ or - 5 gram tolerance is pretty standard. You just happened to get 2 at either end, I'm afraid.

I finally just cut the strings out of both and can confirm that the original one I had was 303g, and the new one was over 312g and 2 points head head heavier than Head's published spec. Kind of disappointing that there's such a large spread.

Wow! Good to know, I must have got super lucky as I bought from two different places. Let us know if you can get head to fix your situation

Actually TW customer service was great and both were purchased from them so am going to get a matched pair as close to my specs as possible.

I think the learning is to get matched sets and if you want to “buy to try” definitely take measurements to see where you land in the spectrum if you plan on getting multiples, as I think the matched pair option at TW is well worth the $20 so you don’t run into this situation.

Alternatively requesting the low weight end of the spectrum could be good to have the option of weighting up.

Thanks everyone for your help.

I bought two sticks from a local retailer in my area - I don't have a swingweight machine, but I need to try to figure out the measurement as I have one that I added lead tape to the 3 and 9 o'clock position and it feels great. Naturally, I figured, I would do the same to the other and it would play the same. I was wrong - the second racket is too unmaneuverable and it was only when I removed the lead tape from the second one during a hitting session did it "feel" like the first one.

Sounds the same as my situation. For your reference in case it’s helpful, my unstrung weights were 303.9g vs 311.6. If I took them and hung the head side off of a table, I got a balance point that was about 5mm different between the two.

The two new replacement racquets arrived today! A matched pair at 308.6g and 9.5 points head light (with handle packaging wrapper on. Assuming this puts it at around 9 points head light at around 305g+. Hopefully these will do the trick.
