Head Graphene XT Prestige S Racket

Playing with Head Graphene XT Prestige S currently. Very precise, low-powered and controlled response from the string bed, maneuverable racket. An obvious drop in power with off-center shots. An excellent racket, if you are looking for previously mentioned aspects. I string it low, Luxilon Alu in mid 40s, which opens up the sweet spot quite nicely. Trying hybrid set-up next. Waiting eagerly to see Graphene Touch Prestige-lineup models.

It is going to be a big power drop from your 100P. But, in marketing speak, that translates to amazing control :)
It was fun to hit with, and I really felt like I could put the ball anywhere, but it was begging to be strung with gut/poly IMO

How was the feel, John, compared to 315LTD? I have a pro stock version TGK291.2 and it has decent feel. As per the seller, the best feel of the whole new prestige line. I don't know how different is my pro stock from retail, but I strung with gut/poly and the power is very good. Control and spin is great. Very maneuverable. Great frame.

I actually thought it was good too. But, I still prefer the feel of my Tecs. But, as I'm sure you know, we all interpret feel differently. I didn't get to put gut/poly in it. But, I thought it would have made the frame much more playable :) (I also liked the paintjob!!! Which is so important) :D:D:D (also the previous version was very similar and a decent frame if you are looking for less power/more control and good feel) I think because of the negative opinions the Graphene Prestige got, people just ignored the S. But, it wasn't horrible once you customized it up (also throwing on the XT bumperguard/grommets made it look good as well)

I am playing with the 100P as well and am curiouos about those who moved from it to Graphene XT Prestige S.

i thought the power was pretty similar to the 100P but the prestige S is more maneuverable and has a smaller sweetspot. mishits are hopeless. always liked the racquet but you gotta bring your own power.

I felt like the 100p got way better spin, but the S got me better precision in terms of aiming my shots. Which one was better depended on my opponents.

As a side note, I struggled somewhat against heavy pace hitters with both rackets. I don't have that problem with the regular Graphene Prestige Pro or even the Rev Pro (so long as I don't mishit it).

my bag currently has one of these and one of the redhead prestige S's innit. you have to add your own pace, but the depth control ... any kind of control ... is fantastic. it doesnt have nearly the flutter/off-center instability of the Speed MP and i really like the flex. off-center hits are still pretty weak and it has a smaller headsize are the disadvantages.

I've been using the 'Head Graphene XT Prestige Pro' for the past few months and love it. Was trying to decide between the S and Pro and very glad I went with the Pro, but I never did try the S...

It's a nice feeling racquet. Very control oriented and low powered but very easy to swing and generate your own power ie RHS. Downside as someone has already alluded to is the sweetspot is very much on the small side.
