can u guys tell me things about head heavy racquets and are they good? do many pros use them? i have the triad t5 Os which is 4pts head heavy so if i can get u guys feedback on this particular racquet or just in general about head heavy of a racquet that would be great

most pros use heavy head light rackets. head heavy rackets are geared towards baseliners. haven't tried the t5 sorry.

Because it's head heavy (and Ive used the T5 MP, but not the T5 OS), you will get less feedback from the racquet while it's in your hand which makes it harder to learn how to swing it, but if you do figure it out, it produces more power.

But I think what happens to some people with this racquet is you just get used to blocking the ball back and you become a pusher because it's too hard to swing it consistantly.

You could try putting some lead tape around the handle underneath the grip where your hand would go and even the balance out a bit so you get more feel out of it when you want to take a longer swing. (or put weights inside of it which is probally more cumbersome)

I have the nSixTwo which was already 2 pts head light and Im trying to make it even more head light because I want more feedback from it.

Incidently when I first went to the Triad 5.0 (from the Volkl Quantum Tour 10 which was a huge diffrence because the Tour 10 was heavy, flexable and very head light), it took me a month to adjust because of the lack of weight and the fact that it was too head heavy and I didnt get any feedback from it.

Head heavy racquets suck. GEARED TOWARDS BASELINERS ARE YOU KIDDING ME? No way man it would probably be way to powerful and leave you with absolutely no control, YUCK.

head heavy gives you power with less effort. prob a bit more stable than head light too. i used to use a head heavy racquet as a junior but dont require that extra power anymore.

yeah head heavy is pretty bad, they give you power but very little control. start out with an even balanced or head light racquet. i used a head heavy for and hour and my elbow hurt terribly.

A properly weight HH racket is a very very good racket and many pros use them. Yes they are indeed stable, but more suited to spinner as opposed to flat hitters.

my prestige is leaded up at the 2 and 10. made it hh
i felt it was better that way since it felt more stable and it didnt have a whippy kinda feel.

head heavy racquets are mostly used for baseliner...head light are used for the net game....the head heavy can make the user hit the ball harder. the heaver the head, the more power it has...

Well, I wouldn't say ALL clay-courters. I was listening to the announcers talking about Nadal's racket (he plays on clay, doesn't he?), and it is lightweight, and probably headlight. He depends on being able to really get a lot of head speed to get his spin.

players like nadal and moya (clay courters who hit with HEAVY topspin) ususally use relitively light racquets with a very high swing weight. I'm positive moya's frame is head heavy, and I think nadal's is too. 15g of lead at the 12 o'clock is alot.
