Head Microgel Prestige Midplus VS. New YouTek Prestige Midplus

I know a few people have hit with the new YouTek Prestige Midplus. Can anyone tell if it is stiffer or flexier that the Microgel Prestige Midplus?? I can get several Microgel Prestige MP's at a very good price but was thinking I might want to wait for the YouTek to come out. However, if the Youtek is stiffer, I definitely wont be interested. So can anyone tell me how the flex compares on these two sticks? Thanks.

Mike, I thought you were interested in the Dunlop 200 4d, what happened to those. Anything that you disliked about the Dunlops?

Yeah I tried the Dunlop 4D 200(18x20) but wasnt crazy about it. Ive been using the Fischer M Speed Pro No. 1-98 as my regular stick since the summer and I like that stick but think I might want to go back to a denser(18x20) string pattern stick. I have a friend that owns a tennis shop and can get me a great deal for a limited time on the microgel prestige but I dont want to bu a bunch of them and then find out I like the new YouTek better. I like flexier sticks so I can basically guarantee if the YouTek is stiffer than the Microgel I wont like it as much......hence my question about the comparative flex.

in that case, you can safely assume that the YouTek is gonna be stiffer because of the D30.

it is both stiffer and flexier depending on your shot, hence D30:)

I would get the YTprestigeMP over the MG just for looks alone

I've hit with both sticks and feel the YTPMP and MGPMP are pretty close in stiffness, venturing to say the YT is a tad stiffer if you had to twist my arm. But I've only demoed the YT for a limited time so I can't really make that call without a little more play. I do vaguely recall reading a couple of reviews on the forum that says the YT felt stiffer compared to the MG, if that helps at all.

Supposedly, the technology behind Youtek is that the racquet stiffens more as you swing harder into the ball but lessens for those touch shots. To me, the MG is a pretty stiff stick anyway. But I really don't think there's going to be a huge performance difference between the YT and MG Prestiges. Specs have remained relatively the same and that's what really matters to me more than newer technology.

I don't think you could go wrong with either racquet though. The MG is a great addition to the Prestige line, and I believe YT version is going to prove the same. Out of curiosity (and without revealing your source of course) what kind of deal could you be getting on those MG's?
