Lol maybe. I’m starting a new job this week but once I settle into my new position in a few weeks, I’ll take you up on your offer. You can find me on the tennispal app also!
Don’t worry. I don’t “hit and tell.” All secrets are safe with me.

So I’m thinking of trying a larger head size for these vintage heads. I’m considering the Graphite Master (the black model) and the Club Master. How do they each compare to the Comp Pro? Which would you recommend?

Wow that Frame looks absolutely AWESOME !!
Damn !
Looks like a brand new white stealth head midsize ready for battle . I adore your racket . I too play with your mold from head . There really is nothing like these rackets . They are the best of the best !
So soft so plush so much control so much confidence given . Mmm mmm mmm

Club master super super soft flex most flexible oversize maybe ever produced

Comp master soft/ flex

Graphite master - medium flex

Just sure that you know - using a Prestige capped grommet on your Comp Pro added a great bit of weight to the head and maybe stiffened the feel, also. The original grpommets are far, far less plastic and that translates to many strips of lead tape added with the capped grommets( believe it or not). Your Comp Pro was designed to be head light - your capped version is far less head light... As long as you like that, all is truly well.
(Do watch out for your joints as more head heavy frames that are not powerful can be tough on the arm. just a thought...)

This is no lie . Absolutely the comp pro was indeed meant to be head light . Cap grommets do absolutely look amazing , but in no way could I ever use them as I am looking to get weight off my rackets but add to them unless it’s in the handle / grip to make it more head light

Thank you! It does feel a tad bit heavier but not all that bad! My arm doesn’t seem to be bothered by the extra weight! Thanks everyone, for all the advice!

Hit with the Comp Master today! It felt almost twice as heavy as the Comp Pro! Did not expect that. Now I know what people mean when they describe a racket as being head heavy. Not sure if I can use this racket long term unless I develop more strength in my forearm. After about an hour, every stroke seemed like I was trying to throw a boulder lol

Well it may scare you to do this but it’s what I do on all my frames I play with and it takes almost a full ounce off . Most importantly it takes that weight off the head of the frame . You can remove the entire bumper gaurd…
What I do is I remove the entire grommets and head gaurd off as I don’t use them at all so I can subtract that weight ( a full ounce )
But for you if your just removing the head gaurd you will lose a 1/2 ounce which is pretty good diet for that head ..
String as normal it won’t prematurely beak strings nor will it hurt the frame at all . I play , teach and string for a living . You can trust me I am an MRT with the USRSA and I’ve been modding frames for 25 years now .
Unless you didn’t like the way it felt don’t bother but if you did enjoy it but the weight and balance were a problem then this is a great choice . If you’re worried about racket getting scraped up you could always use head tape as well as an option for protection. Just a thought

Well, I was also surprised how different it felt compared to the Comp Pro, which I love. I wanted a similar feel with a bit more power and bigger sweetspot. But the Comp Master felt like a totally different type of racket. I’ll try it again in a few days. Maybe I’m just not used to something so head heavy. Or maybe I should have bought a Graphite Master (the black model) instead?

The club master is the most flexible oversized tennis racket ever mass produced that’s not made of entire wood . Well actually it’s more flexible than even the prince woodie . So I stand myself corrected. Yes it’s way more flexy than the comp which by most is considered super flexible too .
The graphite master is much firmer than the club master .the weight and the balance were the same when i hit with them side by side back in the day

Thanks! Yeah sounds like the Graphite Master would be the wrong choice. Maybe I just need a more flexible racket like the Club Master to offset the extra head weight? Or maybe I just need to hit with a lot more rackets to figure out what works best for me.

Like I said if you dig the feel of the club master . But you don’t like head heaviness then you can take off the plastic head gaurd and call it a day .
If you don’t like that idea then yes . Your looking at buying/ demoing more frames

Plot twist! So I measured both rackets! And turns out the Comp Pro weighs less than the Comp Master. 361 grams (Pro) vs 356 (Master)! So why does the Comp Master feel so much heavier????

if you take 2 rackets with the exact same weight and one has a head light balance and the other has a head heavy balance .
The head heavy will feel way way heavier for most folks . When the weight is furthest from your hand it makes it feel crazy heavy for some reason . At least it’s true for my clients and the same goes for me

Oh I see! So the 89.5 vs 102 head size also makes the Comp Master more head heavy than the Comp Pro?

The graphite master may be even balanced or head heavy too ..
So you may run into the same problems .
Most small head midsize tennis rackets will be head light . Especially the head rackets of the 80’s .. most Wilson’s except the Wilson hammer series

Yes it was designed that way for more acces to power with the 102 series . It’s supposed to supply more power bigger head usually Means more access to power . Smaller heads more control .
More weight in the head also brings more power
Less weight in the head brings more maneuverability and definitely more control

Ah that makes sense now! Thank you so much.

So I ended up buying a Graphite Pro and I love it even more than the Comp Pro! The white grommets though are rapidly crumbling. Wondering if the same replacement grommets that I used for the Comp Pro would fit the Graphite Pro? I used The YOUTEK microgel Prestige Mid Grommet.
