Hmmm.. different gauges balance each other?

I really like Pacifc X-force 17g One of the best strings I've used, way better than Alu, I was kind of thinking about using the 18g, but dont want the increased power, or anything else really except spin. So what if I used the 18 in the mains and the 16 in the crosses and adjust the tension accordingly?

Generally, you should only change one variable when u decide to try something new.

But if u really want to try, from my experience, if i UP the gauge to a thinner string, i string tighter by 2lbs. Works both ways when i LOWER the gauge to a thinner string.

It may sound weird, but it worked for me. Take note it may affect string durability.
