How do Adidas shoes fit compared to Nike?

If I wear a size 12 in some Nike Air Zoom tennis shoes would I wear more of like an 11.5 of Adidas shoes? Don't Nikes run big compared to Adidas?

Thanks a whole lot.

There's a big difference between models, so you have to be more specific. Barricades tend to run big/wide in the forefoot but fairly true to length. The Genius runs narrower and higher in the arch. The Feather runs long and skinny. Similarly, Nikes vary a bit, too. The Balistecs tend to be flat and somewhat wider than the Vapors, which are higher in the arch and smaller.

adidas is inferior in fit.

That comment isn't really helpful, as every foot has different needs. For every person who feels as you do, there are many who feel the exact opposite. It would be more helpful to the OP to provide specific and factual information and not to assume your subjective impressions apply to everyone.

Hmm, it depends on your feet (mine are quite wide).

For me Fila are as they should be (UK size 9 to 9.5 fits), Adidas fit a size small (always go for 10s in Adidas, this is the case for Barricade Vs, Tirand IIIs and Ambition IVs) and Nike seemed to be smaller than that (tried on some City Courts a while ago, I tried a 10 and they were too small).

Best to try some on in a shop and see how each brand fits, then you can mail order stuff with a little more confidence.
