With Nadal and Federer finally declining and most of the nextgen still not up to the task yet, how many Grand Slams do you think Djokovic will end up with?

If he manages the calendar year grand slam or at least gets 3 this year, I think he could end up with around 30+ total grand slams if he continues to play for another 5 or 6 years.

He will dominate for another two years then next gen will catch up.
They are already close as stefanos showed or thiem. Danill will play better next time he face him.

And we haven't seen beretini yet

If he wins USO too, i predict massive drop of motivation for him. Maybe wins 2 more after that, but certanly no more.

People saying over 25 are wildly optimistic (or pessimistic, I guess) considering his current level. He is declining by the day.

If he does somehow win CYGS I don’t have any idea how motivated he would be to then win 4-5 more on top of that. For me, 23 is absolute max.

After securing 21 to end 2021 and get his 7th YE. He will retire at the end of 2023 with 23.

He will lose the AO but win the French again. Then lose at Wimbledon and USO. He regains the AO for a 10th time in 22 then loses the French and gets embarrassed at Wimbledon and USO or has lagging injury. By this point Federer retired in 22 and Nadal is still at 20.

Then in a shocking twist, Novak announces he WILL play AO for the last time and participates in the ATP Cup as a warm up. He gets his 11th title there and retires on stage saying he got what he hoped for. Nadal rebounds to win his 14th French Open and retires on stage as well.

Exacly. Even thou he is saying he is not chasing anyone, you can really see he think the opposite. I think from W 14 he feels more relieved than happy after winning the mayors. And that shaking hand while drinking water in IW really tells under what preassure he is playing. Since 2015 he is expected to finish at the top of goat race, mainly bcuz of his total tennis and lack of weakness. Instead of giving his best on the court, he prepares to get record for GS. It takes a lot out of you, and when you achieve that, motivation stops forcing you to train.

24?

I would be very happy if this becomes true, but time waits for noone, and NextGens are getting stronger year by year.

Between 25 and 30 IMO. Cahill and PMac on ESPN said that Novak is playing the best tennis of his career and has improved his game to be more versatile. They talked about how much better he is on the net and on his second serve.

I would say after 20 slam titles on Sunday, Novak would win the following more slams:

3-4 Wimbledons
2-3 AO
1-2 UsOpen
0-1 French Open

So his LOWEST slam count is 26. And the HIGHEST slam count is 30. So the range should be between 26-30 slams.

I think if he wins calendar grand slam then there could be a big drop off like post 2016 rg bland then recovering from that won't be easy so I would say around 22-23

Being moderate and realistic at once, about 25. It's pretty much impossible for him not to reach that number, keeping in mind his galactic quality and his mentally lame young rivals.

With him being so dominant at the Australian Open and now able to beat a declining Nadal at the French Open, it seems inevitable that he passes 25 easily if he plays for 4+ more years.

Even if his speed declines, he now has no weaknesses

I see him beeing more dominant in Wimbledon than the AO from now on. HC slams will get tougher and tougher to win, so not expecting much now, maybe a last AO title in 2022/2023.

It will be funny if he ends up with more Wimbledon titles than Federer.

He can win CYGS + 10 masters combo for next 6 years at least (till current age of Fed 40). And he’s fit after that, can win till 45. Current next gens are pathetic to say the least.

21-23 is the most realistic scenario...In my opinion he only got 1 AO and 1 more Wimbledon in him...

If he gets CYGS this year than 2 more from next year and he retires with 23.

If he fails he again gets 2 and retires at 21.

Djokovic is showing a lot of signs of decline but his mental game is still what wins him slams..

24.
Nadal will still be there. No one, except Novak could take RG from him in the next couple of years. So Novak needs to make some space between Nadal and himself.
OTOH, if he takes USO, and AO, he could be motivated to give it a shot and try double CYGS. Who knows.
OTOOH, he could stumble and lose both Wimbledon and USO. In that case he'll need to win at least 3 slams in the next couple of years.
So, 24 is a safe bet.

He is surviving by the chokes of Next Gen....In all the slam he won this year he struggled with form but somehow won. I think whatever he will win will last till 2022-23 not more than that.

He can no longer hang on with power hitters from the baseline...he struggled against kudla and shapo cos they were big hitters. But both of them choked on big points which went in his favour.

24.

That would surpass Ken Rosewall's total singles record in Majors (8 Slam titles and, before the Open Era, 15 Pro Slam titles).

If he walks out of Wimbledon with the title, he probably ends up around 23-24 slams, and will leave with the slam record.

I think Djokovic will be almost invincible to beat until the Australian Open next season, already at 37 years old it will be his last year at a high competitive level.
So, it seems pretty certain that he can reach 25 Major titles and that the joke of project 26 currently has a high percentage of becoming tangible.
Will Alcaraz, Medvedev, Rune, Sinner or someone else be able to stop the Serbian player from increasing his number of GS titles?

This was only 2 years ago and it’s already aging poorly. Never doubt the guy I guess

Interesting that in literally all those threads, no matter if they were started 10 years or just 1 year ago, the first few posts are ALWAYS underrating him. And in the earlier threads the real outcome often was not even represented in the poll options, because it was higher than the highest option. :-D

You had predicted 4-5 slam winning years more for Nole in 2022. That seems on the verge of happening.
how come we on the verge really if we sitting in 23 so he needs to win three years in a row to start feeling on the verge no?, what do you think will he win a slam in 27 btw
