How many more slams for Federer, Nadal and Djokovic?

How many times?

How many more slams for the bane of tour's existence? 58 slams so far... With Federer being 40 years old and Nadal and Djokovic soon to be 35/34, I don't think that more than 10 is in the realm of possibility. But seeing how many TTWers believe "next gens" (of all ages) will stay below 5, that would mean that big 3 or at least Nadal and Djokovic will rack many more.

I think Nadal wins the next 3 RGs and Djokovic wins the next 2 Wimbledons + Australian Open 2022. Somebody else wins the US Open this year I think due to some combination of injury/fatigue for Djokodal, probably Medvedev. By late 2022/early 2023 the decline is just about sufficient for the next generation to take over, however many years ahead of schedule. I'd like it if Federer made an epic comeback and got one final Wimbledon, but unfortunately I don't see it happening.

So in total that leaves us with 6 more Big 3 Slams, with Nadal leading the slam race on 23.

Nadal - 2/3 more RG finishes with 22 overall and 16 at one event. Outside chance of vulturing a USO if Djokovic is injured again.

Djokovic - 3 more AO, 3 more Wimbledon, 1 more USO. Finishes with 25 slams, 450 weeks at number 1 and 8 YE#1.

With 5 more Slams, Djokovic finally enters the tennis legend debate.

I'll concede he's a tennis legend if he finishes with the most slams.

Kind of like Schumacher in F1.

Statistical dominance forcing legendary status, even though there have been several players who are truly greater legends.

Nah. Your conceding is irrelevant if he needs the Slam record.

Who can stop them?

The level was brought so high that young players need more than just game to beat Nadal and Djokovic.

Thiem USO win only proved they can only do it when big 2 are not the opponents.

There is Sinner, but he needs at least 2 years or more to develop into a contender.

I hope that Novak wins many more titles but it's not going to be that easy. Tour actually has good depth and young guys are getting better slowly. Also, tricky players like Agut and Karatsev may show up out of nowhere. We'll see.

Agreed. Agut will always be a bad match up for Novak, but Karatsev for now didn't prove his style can trouble Djoker.

I hope that Novak finally got rid off his Agut bug in that *Cincy match last year, after releasing the kraken in the 3rd set tiebreak. Agut can somehow get him to play zillion exhausting neutral rallies and bring him down to his level but when Novak ups the aggression, he's winning smoothly. Wawrinka/Karatsev-like big hitting can also upset him, if he's too defensive. Serve and being aggressive and proactive is the key for him going forward, imho.

Agut can still trouble Novak, but the chance is small. Will have to see how Karatsev develops to compare him to Wawrinka.

Jokes aside If Djokovic is not a legend of this sport i honestly wonder who is...I mean his rivals only have few slams more than him and that's it...Djokovic dominates almost everything else...
You need to learn what a true legend is:

To you he is and from those in Serbia. Nobody else is putting him anywhere close to the "legend" category. The legends in tennis are very, very, very few: Laver, Borg, Fed and Nadal. Some may put Pete in the mix, no arguments from most people on that inclusion. If Djokovic ever gets to 21 slams, he could be called a legend, but right now? No one regards him as such except his fanboyz. It's almost impossible to be a legend when his unpopularity is more talked about than his tennis prowess.

You need to learn what a true legend is:
"True legend" you mean biased opinion from certain fan bases? Aside from Federer and Nadal who are in the same league as Novak there is not a single tennis player in history who can say that he is on the same level or greater than Novak...Srry but these are the facts and Novak is a living legend who will most likely at the end be kne above all...

You are right, at this point it isn't a case of opinion anymore. With what Djokovic achieved he deserves to be at least in the same hall of those legends.

This thread dominated by Djokovic fans saying Djokovic will win at least 5 more. The desperation at being 2 behind is palpable. Nadal and Federer fans seem more chilled.
