We currently have a bunch of tennis games out (Topspin 4, which is the most popular, finally has a sequel coming out) .... but it's agreed that there is no great one.
However, each has some aspects which are fab. Watching a bunch of clips on YT recently, I think we're not far off a truly great game. It "only" has to vaguely combine the following:
Hopefully 2K25 gets close to this. But if not, the template is there imo... just waiting for someone to step up and make it

- The smooth player animations (running groundstrokes, volleys, sliding, not getting to the ball in time etc) of Top Spin 4
- The ball physics, player-specific shot animations, customisable kits, and legends roster of Full Ace Tennis
- The lighting + rendering of Tennis Elbow 4
