I am officially unemployed now

My first day today , I just stayed home the entire day. I did several hours of paper work and about 4 hours of video games then i watched TV for 2 hours.

IT was the best day I have had in months.

In other news my sister was on TV in Chicago for some boring, dry medical stuff.

I have plenty of food and cash on hand to stay put ,but I am supposed to venture out on Saturday to play tennis. I enjoy my safe space at home.
Tomorrow I will be sleeping in late and doing less paper work. I am sure by next Friday I will become bored and nuts and crazy and want to work lol.

I plan to leave Oregon in 6 weeks and still dont know if its going to be FIRE HOT phoenix or trashy Vegas.

My franchise close was utterly brutal as the buyer almost quit several times over a number of problems we had. I had to get my attorney involved and i assume the bill will be several grand or more, yikes. The deal was only possible because of the attorneys on both sides working things out since me and buyer refused to talk.

I finally meet the buyer on Wednesday to close out a few things and this lady has zero Soul and is void of any emotions and is humanless.

I could drive to a cemetery tomorrow, dig up a body, and I would find way more signs of human life than this soulless lady ( probably why her husband died at a young age is my guess).

What happened to the sting in the tail lease structure which could become your liability in the event the new owner defaults?

Well.. the land landlord agreed to switch the liability from 4 years to only 2 years. My attorney drafted a letter that if she shall default on payments, then the store would go back to me.
Chances of her defaulting is less than 1 percent in 2 years.

I am terrified to see my attorney bill as its going to be several grand for 10-15 hours of total work on this entire deal.

I think that I'd like to take a few months off work and do nothing - workwise. Several friends have already retired and it seems to be working well for them.

Yes, OP should be careful with nest egg. Keep them in bank and try to get a simple, easy job somewhere so you don't have to use them. You seem like single man. Only single people can enjoy such a freedom; sleep as long as you want, play video game until finger hurts, watch TV until laugh so much that your tummy hurt.

Being unemployed isn't the worst problem, just the biggest you have now.

Being told you have limited time to live is a big problem, you're lucky.... for now.

Well in a way we all kid of do, no? Although I get what you mean. Working for a cancer institution/hospital, I can't imagine how devastated I'd be if I ever got diagnosed with such an affliction. :(

I can relate to your feelings as well. The most important single factor in our lives is health. We have to thank God giving us health. I think we all agree on this.
I see many people diagnosed with cancer as well. Some can survive but many perish with the illness.
