I had an idea for a new ATP stat: Total ATP points accumulated throughout a player's career.

Would you like to see this stat ?

I don't mean I necessarily want the ATP to give it a lot of importance, but just as a stat that they keep a record of for our information. Personally I'm interested to see it, that is all.
I am aware that if the points system changes like it did in 2009 (?), then maybe it wouldn't be possible to compare the players from before the change to after it. But at least we'll get to compare players who were a part of a common points system, not bad either.

Not a new idea, but still a good one. There was a thread about this started in 2019 where I had posted.

Is there a way to know how many ATP (including ITF Grand Slam) points in total the Big 3 have accumulated in their entire careers? It would be nice if the ATP made this statistic available in the career ranking of players.

We are all fixated on Slams to measure the career performance of players because the tennis establishment does not make even the most basic stat like total ATP points accumulated in a career available to us as fans. I guess we could add up the year-end points which is accumulated over the previous 12 months for each year of their careers and come up with the calculation. Has @Lew II or anyone else tried to calculate this?

It would be nice to see the career total and also the total divided by years on tour to get a yearly average of ATP points earned.

If I remember correctly it's was something around 117k - 108k - 93k for ND - RF - RN. Would also be interested in breaking those down for slams and other big events.

Here's a cool stat for each players points record:
This is literally amazing. The tracking that goes into compiling these. o_O They even have winners & errors stats over entire careers.
