Buying more racquets doesn't make you a better tennis player.

heh thats a term used by guitar players who have the same problem as you, except with guitars. to fix this, demo a couple and buy the most badass one/the one you like best and stick with it until your game moves on/you break it. give it at least 2 years.

That sums it up, but the problem is that 4/5 racquets I bought were demo's for $45 in great condition. My thought process is that for that price, I should have it rather than some other random guy, and it I dont like it, I would sell it. I gave my tt scream to my cousin for his first real racquet, I still have the others, but I really really want the speedport red. This is just the first chance I have to get it for that price :).

Yep, I have GAS too. ;)

My "current" racket is (was?) a Prince Thundercloud Titanium, but six mos ago I got a used Prince Magnesium Pro 110. Today I just got a new O3 White, which may be my new primary... except that tomorrow I have a new Ozone 7 MP+ arriving. AND, I'm currently bidding on a Mag Pro 90, but I will probably let it go because it's a little more beat up than I'd like.

Next, I want that new Ignite 95, but I like to buy racquets as year-end closeouts rather than at full price. :)

And I'd love a Wlison K-Factor like R-Fed uses, but again, more $$$ than I'll spend right now.

At least tennis racquets are cheap compared to, say, musical instruments.

Have you tried the PrinceTT Warrior MP, it may be the last racquet you ever buy.

Hello, my name is Wild Ace (*Hello Wild Ace!*). I too have a racquet addiction.

I got a Roddick Pure Drive (hate it), Agassi Ti.radical (love it) and....

The TT warrior MP was my latest acquisition. Strung it 58/60 with Bab-Hurricane/Xcel hybrid. It plays a little too "dampened". Is the tension too high/low for TT warrior?

And i'm already looking at other frames.

I've had the other GAS - Guitar Acquisition Syndrome....

First with tennis, then guitars, now back to tennis.

To the OP - how about instead of a racket this time, get some tennis lessons?

Oh I will lol, as soon as I talk to my tennis specialist at my job and he gets the okay to sell the demo, it will be mine. The speedport red is on clearance so theres no need for the demos anymore. But I still dont want to pay $145...when I can pay $45 and $6 for new grommets and bumper guard. The bumper guard in beat up but other than that the racquet is fine. Actually Prince put "demo" somewhere along the handle, I want to get it off. Its the same paint that the red parts are painted with.

I got another bout of GAS last night... this morning I ordered an O3 Hybrid Tour MS (95) for $69.95. I'm having it strung with Prince Original Synthetic Gut just like my O3 White.

My Ozone 7 came yesterday... it was prestrung with Lightening XX 16. Dunno if it'll be any good... I can see ripping that out for more Original Synth Gut. That way I can better see which racquet will be the best for me, and then I can start figuring out which string to settle on.

So my tennis guy at work said he cant sell the the sp red because there are still two in stock on clearance and they need to sell first. Those two have been in stock for the last 8 months...I guess I will have to sell these when people want to buy racquets if I want a good price.

Plaza, man glad to see someone else pick up on them. They are awesome and free shipping on practically everything with no minimum spending limit. I go there to get all my string, grips, and other small items.

Now that's odd. You're still young and already love classic racquets. this is a very rare thing:)

I'm an up and coming college player, but also share this addiction except for a different reason. I really just want to find "the" best frame for myself as a player, my "holy grail" of sorts.

Right now I'm liking these leaded up i.Prestiges Mid's, but it just seems to me that a 98inch head would be slightly better for my playstyle. My style is a very "Djokovic" type game. I try attacking off of both wings but especially the forehand which is by far my best shot. I hit the forehand using grips ranging from eastern to semi-western depending on the height of the ball, but normally with an extreme-eastern.

Two handed backhand that is solid at times but can falter if it is pressured often. I feel a small hitch or two in my technique and need to work it out.

Are there any 95 or 98 sq inch racquets you guys would recommend? I feel a more open string pattern would benefit my game nicely as well. Despite using a conservative grip, I can hit wicked topspin shots and usually try to hit a few during rallies as a different look for the opponent to keep them off balance, but my normal rally ball has a pretty straight trajectory but with plenty of spin.
