Not true. Tons of ttw members have played. Your obviously not a new poster. Sure. Pay for some indoor time after new years and I'm totally down to play. Couple hours would be good. I'm sure we can find an indoor club near both of us. I'll even wear jean shorts.

Where do you guys live? Nj does have awesome public courts. Yes some with lights. And a lot of courts have been redone to the us open surface. Gritty hard courts. Which im not too sure about. Plays slow.

Lawrenceville. Our courts were redone with new surface, nets, windscreen and lights, with a special grant from the state, thanks to the state senator who happens to live in the township.

We also do have enough free public hard courts lighted at nights during the summer, here in Canada. No dividers (like your windscreens) and the surfaces are not too good (either cracked or no fresh paint).

The club on the other hand has no court fees during the summer (for either clay -har thru or hard courts, all good quality)- only indoors, in the domes, during the winter. Membership is not cheap though (around $800 per person per year + around $32/hour per court).

I played two hours singles practice and short match with friend. (Contract indoor time). Then I stayed and filled in for doubles with a group of guys I know. They were missing a person. I'm pretty sore. No tennis till weekend now. So I can rest up.

Oh i was asking because I live in the area and there are these 'tennis socials' that go for around 4 hrs in and around the NY/NJ area... they're played indoors. Sometimes they have pretty high level players.

And yes there are some decent outdoor courts in NJ... the one in my town is fairly new and has light on until 9:45 which is great in the summer.
