I'm not a fan of many of the Wilson frames and prefer Volkl, Prince , Dunlop, Pacific or Yonex to most Of the Wilson's offerings. When the first RF 97 frames came out you could almost call them custom made because no two frames had the same specs, they were all over the place. Same problem is happening with the new Blade S series. I know of one retailor who has already sent them back because the specs are way out. Secondly with the RF, the 68 stiffness is too high. Most of the pro stock versions of these frames are in the low 60's which is where this racquet should be.
As for Volkl users being over the age of 65, well that's probably noticeable because all the Wilson users have had to stop playing by then because their arms can't take it anymore. People who know racquets know that Volkl or Yonex are way in front of Wilson.

I'm surprised Wilson doesn't require a background check to purchase the RF97. I pulled one out of my holster this weekend and my opponents promptly requested donuts as their last meal. I obliged.

I had a match this morning against a former #1 singles college player. The very first words out of his mouth were, "oh wow, you have the new fed sticks?" I walloped him 6-1, 6-1. At every changeover and after the match, all he wanted to do was talk about the RF97. I won't be surprised at all if he shows up with his own next time we play.

A friend of mine read this thread, bought the new RF97, changed 3 times the strings during the first day, and the very next day posted it at OLX for $120. It stays there two weeks now, nobody wants it even at that price.
