Edit : His year 2005 corresponds to 2011 ,when he started playing all 4 majors.

Nadal turned pro in 2002 (??). You'll have to elaborate, do you mean if Nadal turned pro in 2011 so 2014 corresponds to 2005?

This thread is actually the most ridiculous of the last week. I can barely begin to comprehend this thread.

Troll thread, yes?

Bad troll attempt.

That still makes the thread ludicrous. Let's see if I can make more sense of it.

You're asking how many Slams would Rafa and Djokovic would have won to date, as of now?

Why is it trolling ?

How many slams as of date and how many when both end their career ?

So you are asking us to predict how many Slams Nadal would also be winning from 2015 onwards, with his peak only just starting out, without having much of a clue of who might rise over the next 8 or so years?

Djokovic might have already won the FO if Nadal only hits his prime in 2011. Hopefully Djokovic would take out Nadal in the semis and we'd have the 1 and 2 seeds in the RG final with Federer still winning in 4 and finger-waggin'.

I understand it is sarcasm, I will take it as a compliment , nevertheless. Missing @jg153040

To treat this thread seriously for a moment. I'ts hard to know, I don't think he can beat 2007 or 2008 Nadal and Federer/Wawrinka stopped him in 11/15 respectively.

So it's really whether Djokovic of 2012 can beat Nadal of 2006? Based on form I'd lean towards no. But who knows how the more grinder like Nadal would handle Djokovic (admittedly one in quite weak form).

Wait, leave the actual Rafa alone, he's there to take out Djokovic in 2006-2008 and 2012-2014. A new Rafa shows up to strip Djokovic of any chances to win the FO from 2016 onwards (well at least until 2024). Djokovic can then have a shot at the FO at the age of 38.

Yeah but Nadal isn't around in 2007 or 2008 to stop Djokovic. He hits his 2005 prime in 2011. Federer (and others) can stop Djokovic from 2007-2010 but Djokovic might nab a FO.

Two Rafas? We just entered the twilight zone. But sure, Djokovic can likely kiss RG good bye.

I see. I don't think he was ready to beat Federer at the FO until 2011 (he was ready but just unable then). Though Djokovic was really good on clay in 2009 so maybe without that Madrid epic he does better at the FO? Maybe Federer doesn't care enough after winning it multiple times to fight off the challengers.

Yes, I'd add 3 more Federers in 2015 onwards and Djokovic can kiss any title goodbye FOREVA. Outside of the FO he'd have to go through Federer in the SF, then wait for one of the Federers to battle through another Federer and then beat Federer again in the finalerer.

Ah, we can always dream.

Yeah but Djokovic might ascend faster in those earlier years due to not having to battle against Federer and Nadal. LOL WHY ARE DOING THIS.

Another great thread.

I predict 0 slams for Novak and 23 for Nadal in this scenario (will vulture on weak era until 2022).

Djokovic may probably end up with the same number of FO as he will now , but he is not going to win 3 Wimbledons

Someone who essentially plays a slightly modified clay court game and is susceptible to first week upsets to deny Djokovic W titles?

Remember PeakDal made 5 consecutive Wimb finals 2006-2011, which would have paralleled the period 2012-2017.

Novak takes the 2011 Wimbledon, but does he win 2014 and 2015 Wimbledon as well ? Not sure.

No guarantees PeakDal would make all the finals in 2012-2017. 2013 was one of his best years ever and he lost in the first round.

PeakDal was pushed to five setters in early rounds in almost all of his Wimbledon runs; barely surviving on his athletic ability and retrieval skills. The right player might have taken him out early.

One can say the current grass era is slightly inferior than the 2006-2010 grass era. Rafa has had some tough matches in early rounds, but you would expect him to get through them fine in the period 2011-2015, since he is aged 19-24 with healthy knees.
