It's not a shame. Do you seriously care more about being able to make excuses on a forumafterwards or bragging about how your man won the title than about just enjoying yourself and remembering that match, just to be a part of it. There simply is no excuse that could heal my sadness if he lost this sunday. Even if it was a really legimite one.

But actually I think Soderling is in worse condition than Federer. Soderling's never been passed the third round of a major before. His body is not used to it. You could see it late in the match with Gonzalez. And he just played a five-setter, which doesn't help things. So I think Soderling is definitely at a disadvantage in the final and if the match is extended to four or five long sets, I definitely have to favor Federer.

But maybe that's all wishful thinking.

maybe someone should start a thread about how federer was given an unfair advantage because of playing more matches in philippe chatrier than anybody else in the entire tournament.

experience on the court you'll play the final (especially when there's such a huge difference between chatrier and every other stadium at RG) is a big advantage.
