If you could go back in time...

If you could back in time to 2 moments in the history of the planet, which ones would you go to?

The first one is one where you cannot interact with anything, you just watch history unfold. The second is where you may interact with people and things to alter history.

First, I would go and watch myself being born from the side. It would be pretty awesome. As for the part of history I can alter, I would talk the Bush family out of politics and save us all.

Discuss:
What would you do if you went back in time?

I would...go check Mozart out. Just see how amazing he was.

2nd thing: I would go to the Americas and invent the wheel for them.

A battle with the 300 Spartans. & maybe Achilles in Trojan War. Thatd be awsome!

& talk to the writers of the constitution & tell them ppl will have more powerful guns & a ton of murdering, so dont allow that right to every1 (just my opinion, please dont flame me).

since I am into piano music, i like beethoven much better than mozart. mozart only wrote two piano pieces that I like: turkish march (ronda alla turca) and piano concerto no. 21 in C, K467

As a violinist, I prefer Mozart :D

But I do enjoy Beethoven's Romance in F a lot. Very beautiful piece.

But yes, I think I would much rather see Mozart in history at work.

1. I'd probably do the birth thing too :p

2. I'd go back to 9/11 and prevent it from happening ):

have you seen the twilight zone episode where this guy got into a time machine and goes back in time to try to assassinate adolf hitler and then goes to hiroshima to try to save some of the japanese people from the atomic bomb explosion? that was a pretty good episode.

lol dude...Michaelangelo and Leonardo were Renaissance: think about more than 1000 years later ;)

But the pyramid thing would definitely be cool.

this go back in time is dangerous. if one of the fed fans got a chance, he probably would try to sabotage nadal's development as a tennis player to help federer win a few grand slams by age 26 :)

ugh...its been 3 years since i took art history, well renaissance period then. I just got confused because when i think of michaelangelo the statue of david comes to mind and its similarity to ancient greek architecture got me sidetracked. i know da vinci was during the renaissance period though and he would've been one cool guy to meet.

There are so many events in history I wish I could have seen, but to pick only one would be to witness the Battle of Shiloh.

To go back in time to alter events there are two and I can't narrow it down any further: to stop Lincoln from going to the Ford theater and secondly, I would warn the Russian generals of Lenin's plan against the Romanovs.

i'd want to see the meteor strike that caused the extinction of the dinosaurs, and then i'd want to see the first contact between humanity and intelligent extraterrestrial life. does the future count? i wouldn't care about interacting with anyone or changing anything. idk maybe i'd have a beer with one of my distant ancestors from the middle ages or something.

1. The premiere of Beethovan's 9th.

2. Can't EXACTLY pinpoint when it was, but I would go back to the happiest day I can remember in my life, or at least the day where I felt happiest or most content and look on it from my current perspective and enjoy it for what it was.

I think I would want to see the dinosaurs.

As for making changes, I could tell myself what to gamble on like Biff in Back to The Future. Make riches come easy. Bring a Powerball and lotto list, along with horse track results.

What atrocities would this change? Watching my grandmother get put out on a hospital curb while 8 months from dying of cancer on a cold night. My grandfather dying pennyless, and being treated poorly by doctors. Also, preventing long time donation dependent organizations from struggling (Bush wildlife sanctuary, WWF, ASPCA, etc.); I hate animal abuse and the cowards who do it. Plus, much more related to the environment.

I would just go back far enough in time when the lottery was worth 450 gazillion dollars and already know the winning numbers.

As for changing history, probably trying to help prevent my mothers death.

i wouldn´t change anything, for the simple reason that i am not god and have no way to foresee all the implications.

since this is a tennis forum, going to wimbledon somewhere in the 60´s and just enjoy the atmosphere and the fun.

I would go back to tell myself that it all turns out all right for all of the tough decisions I've made in my life, so that they might not be so hard.

Only two past points in time kill some of the fun. But, whatever..

I would go back and see Ancient Egypt for sure. I'm not sure what point in time I would want to go back to and have an impact besides seeing my family in the past.
