If you could go back, what year would you choose?

Yeah in some ways I think humanity has peaked lol. I don't think being a kid will ever be as fun as it was pre-cell phone/internet days.
So many epic things I wish I could experience for the first time again. Def those DB moments.... Iconic. Reading the HP books, epic Peak WWE moments :p There is truly nothing like watching the Namek saga for the first time.

Kids will be kids though. I think/hope they get the same type of enjoyment out of things that I did when I was a kid, even if those things are entirely different. But like you, I'm biased. I look at my 11 year old cousin these days, and sure he gets enjoyment out of newer more modern games on the PS4, and games like Fortnite, but he's not from the HP generation and that makes me sad. When I was 11 my face was buried in a new HP book. I don't think I've ever seen him get truly excited. Happy yes, but not jumping up and down type of excitement. And I don't think he knows what an N64 or especially a SNES is.

The thing about these days is that if he asks for something he can get it almost immediately so there's no anticipation of waiting. I did see his Pokemon card collection though, but now there's like 1000 pokemon or something. It's so ridiculous. And I sound like an old man to him when I say "Back in my day there were only 151."

And to me there's no replacement for DBZ these days. I don't even know what the kids watch anymore lol. But I'm too old to know that I guess.

How old are you again?
There just seems (obviously it's an outside perspective as we are no longer kids) it seems to me there's no sense of "wonderment" for kids. They get handed a cell phone by like age 8, and everything is based around the internet/youtube/etc. They will never get to make trips to blockbuster, or wait on a game's strategy guide to come out, etc.... a shame lol. Twitter generation.

I'm 30. So 5 years between you and I. But yeah I agree. Again I look at my cousin, and he's happy don't get me wrong. He still plays a lot with his friends, and plays games on his tablet, but I'm not sure he's interested in any TV shows or books. And there's certainly no iconic generation defining thing like HP, or at least none that I can see.

But he doesn't know what he missed, and he has no interest in what he missed which in a lot of ways is good I guess. It's a strange phenomenon when you're nostalgic about something, but someone out of your age range on either side, older or younger, doesn't care about it at all.

Actually the whole year, not just the summer was great:

1. New York Jets UUUGGGEEE upset of Baltimore Colts.

2. Laver CYGS

3. Apollo 11 moon landing

4. Woodstock

5. Miracle Mets win the NL title and then have a UUUGGGEEE upset of the Baltimore Orioles

6. Loads of great movies; top 10 included Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid; Easy Rider; Midnight Cowboy

7. Top albums included: Abbey Road, Led Zeppelin I and II, Tommy,, Let It Bleed. The Velvet Underground

I could have done without Charlie Manson and Nixon’s escalation of Vietnam fighting while the bickering over table shapes in the “Paris Peace talks.” We did get a few great movies about those tragedies a few decades down the road so there’s a bit of comfort.

With a civil war in every country?

Yes, communism and authoritarian regimes are rearing their ugly heads big time, and it looks like there are enough people that think that they "deserve better", despite of not doing anything to justify it, so they support that trend.

2020, i got alot done. The gov actually sent me 1200 dollars for doing what i would of done.

Going back in tme leads to a negative tunnel of regret. We cannot change the past, only the future

It lives on in extreme right imagery.

Extreme right? Thats like saying its an extreme 90 degree angle, there is no elasticity with "Legends" like youself and I ;)

For the lamen, there is no extreme left or right because they are either left or right.

People thinking there is a median but cannot define the term, "Purgatory" would be mine.

I know what I mean. And I don’t think I’m a legend.

Legend is a geometry term. It sets the standard, i personalized it in description.

There is no far right or left is my point, its either/or. To define such a simple term further makes me wonder :unsure::unsure:

Think i maybe out of my league on these forums ;)

OK, extreme far right may not exist, but I frightens me when I think of it.
