If you introduce a new tennis surface, what would it be?

I've played on an artificial grass court, it sucked, it was kind of like clay but without the sliding or high bounces from spin.

Cool that you were able to play on artificial grass. Now, if you couldn't slide or get a high bounce, how exactly was it like clay?

How 'bout a minefield? Anybody wanna make a snarky comment about this creating a more explosive game? Or a commentator saying something about one player getting blown off the court...

Oh, I'll cast a vote against ice tennis. With the WTA ladies all bundled up, the ratings would drop along with the mercury. D'oh!

Anyway, for sporting excitement on ice, I think the Stanley Cup playoffs are tough to beat.

Fine, I'll go there... wait for it...

Jello!

:):):)

How about tennis with obstacles on the court? You know, poles, hurdles, etc. Andy Murray could stand on the court screaming at you the whole match. And yeah, throw in some mines and a couple patches of quicksand, you've got yourself an interesting season.

Nah. Dress the WTA players like figure skaters and the ratings will still be there.

Diamond court

What would happen if you had a diamond court?

The ball would bounce high and it would be really fast, no?
