Instruction Video - Japanese Translation anyone?

That's a lot of **** to translate.

Unfortunately, I can't read kanji, cause **** Chinese characters and that absurdly stupid language (seriously, couldn't they have copied a more intelligent language). If it had furigana, I might've been able to read most of it. :/ But the only time furigana is used is for kids stuff. Anything meant for adults or older teenagers is all kanji. T.T

I didn't realize there was a lot of information in those few characters. Thought it was a sentence or 2 per screen.

I can read Japanese, but I can't watch the video. Watch Prince of Tennis and what's up with those cartoon sound effects?

Yes, it's quite a bit to translate. I understand about 60% of what is written...the rest is courtesy of my Japanese exchange daughter...hahaha.

Basically, the opening text says the video is about ground strokes. The text (written in katakana) that accompanies the guy hitting balls translates to forehand, backhand, slice, etc. Essentially the type of stroke he is demonstrating. The blocks of text (bullet points on black slides) illustrate key points of the strokes...body rotation, arm position, swing path, etc.

The few minutes with the sound effects where the guy is swinging in a wild manner is rather funny. Describes how to swing, and how NOT to swing.

The rest of the video discusses basic drills and pointers for footwork and movement.

In the first half, he keeps telling to rotate pelvis (骨盤) and not to try anything else.

In the second half, he keeps telling to produce a flick (ピュン) moment during a swing and use that moment to hit the ball.

Thanks for the translations. Does he elaborate on the flick?

LOL...I've been watching it with the sound off - since I don't speak Japanese - guess I'll have to watch it with the sound on.

Also, some of their other videos they have English captions - again nothing too detailed (I'm not sure if the Captions are done by Google translate or not)
