Errr, not exactly. Tell that to someone who´s from Zurich, and see what their response is. . .

Some Swiss people speak French. Federer does because he trained in the French-speaking part of the country as a youngster, but his French isn´t perfect because it´s not his native language. He´s from Basel, which is German-speaking.

Depending on the area of Switzerland you're from, the language is French, Swiss-German, or Italian.

Federer grew up in Basel, speaking Swiss-German and English (English because of his mum). He trained in the French-speaking area later, though. I believe he also speaks a bit of Swedish, but I'm not sure.

Wawrinka knows only french for example.It depends on the city they live.

really?For me the austrian german is more like singing like but the swiss is like eating while talking.I don't understand a word btw.It's like a complete different language.

maximo is actually quite right here I think. it's not Fed's native language and he learned it when he was in tennis academy as a teenager. he speaks very fluently but a French person can defenitely tell he's not a native speaker.
