Maybe not your cop o tea, but quite popular in the US and elsewhere. Garnered an outstanding 8.9/10 on IMDb (but 7/10 in my book). .Numerous (dozens) of nominations and award wins -- Golden Globes, Emmies, SAG, BAFTA, etc.

Wasn't in great movies by a quality standard and is probably towards the end of her big career now but definitely easily one of the best TV series actor careers of all time.
Most actors of tv series never make it any big in movies no matter how popular those tv series were.
Clooney is obviously the most successful series to movies actor but Aniston might be ranked second as she was the lead actor in many financially successful albeit often a little stupid cinema movies which most tv series actors only can dream of (just try to find any significant lead actor roles by anyone of how I met your mother, Cosby show, full house, home improvement, scrubs or any other popular tv series of the 80s to 00s).
Of course there is now a trend for washed up older succesful actors to star in tv series (starting with Charlie sheen back then) but that is a different thing.

This is probably true. Once you're a lead actor in a hugely popular TV series, it is difficult to make the transition and have audiences accept you in the films.
Ted Danson was on Cheers but Woody Harrelson (supporting TV actor) was probably more succesfull in films than Ted. Tom Selleck also struggled.
Off the top of my head, since the 1980s, only lead TV star that successfully transitioned to film is Tom Hanks / Bosom Buddies. But that TV show was not a particularly huge hit.
And there is Bruce Willis. He is probably the most successful one by far.

Helen Hunt may have done both film and TV since the early 1970s but was probably known for here TV roles until she did "As Good As It Gets" in the late 90s
Jodie Foster did a lot of TV from the mid 60s thru mid 70s but then became know for her film roles starting in the mid 70s with Paper Moon and Taxi Driver. Stellar film career from that time onward.

Sandler is actually a fine actor when he wants to be. Many will point to his role in PTA's Punch-Drunk Love as proof but I like him even more in James L. Brooks' Spanglish, which happens to be one of my top 100, maybe even top 50 fave films of this century:

Like all the ladies, they age quickly after 35. Hollywood has done wonders with makeup these days but their are pictures of her without make up on the internet and she looks her age of middle 40s; maybe a bit older too. She also has several nip and tuck sessions too. But with her Hollywood makeup on she still looks hot! She works out with a personal trainer on a daily basis so her figure is still attractive for her Apple TV+ Morning Show!

Phoebe Cates was quite the looker. 'tis a shame she stopped acting so early. My other fave Phoebe was Halliwell (aka Alyssa Milano) of Charmed. In addition to the outstanding cinematography, she was the best reason to watch that show.
Not seen the new Aniston-Witherspoon show. Showing anywhere other than Apple TV+? I see that it has a very respectable 8.2/10 on IMDb with more than 2600 members voting. Critics reviews:

This is a still from the movie, Cake (2014). Jennifer was made up to look this way (dowdy) for the film. She had stopped working out for a few months to facilitate her weight gain.
