Junior Apparel Sponsorship

Hey everyone,

I am a 17 year old junior tennis player from Northern California. I was wondering if anyone knows of a smaller company that gives sponsorships to junior players... I am not ranked top 30 in NorCal, my sectional ranking is #147 and my National ranking #1962 for Boys 18's. I realize these aren't spectacular but I am a dedicated and hard working player. I have already contacted Athletic DNA and was denied.

No offense meant, but I dont think you would have much of a chance at getting sponsored unless your game has vastly improved... If your coach knows people you may be able to get a meeting with a rep and maybe some discounts, or even a small sponsorship deal.

i think adna is the easiest its top 40 year end sectionally and i just got it. other than that fila would be easy top 50 sectionally but they never reply back.

Sorry to hear that... But yeah if you work hard enough (and play alot of tourneys) you should be able to get something, keep training with the best players you can find and good luck!

Kirschbaum, Polystar, and Mantis are really easy to get. They don't require a ranking. Dunlop is a joke for racquet companies (mcutilize got it). They don;t need a ranking either. Clothing is a lot tougher, Fila is non responsive and adna only does year end rankings. Adidas is top 25 in section (I've heard kids ranked around 35 get it) and Nike is impossible. Good luck

I just got Mantis! Do I have to commit or do I playtest their strings first? I want to consider Kirschbaum and Polystar also. Which brands will give the most for their sponsored players?

I play tested the power poly, never committed. I didn't like it at all. If I were you I would try all four strings. Kirschbaum is 20% off with some good deal every month or so. Poly star is alright, their referral thing is cool if you can do it. Mantis is 40% off if I remember correctly. Just go with the one you like best. I ultimately liked luxilon the best and unfortunately they're impossible to get sponsored by.

You have to ranked really high, like top 200 in the nation to have a chance at a full sponsorship.

For polystar here's the referral as described by the rep that email me:

The referral program is as follows: Get $10 off for every reel ordered by your referral. EX: Let's say your coach or club makes an order for 6 reels, and they mention that you referred them, that's $60 off your next order; almost a free reel. If they order 10 or 20 reels, that's $100 or $200 off for you. Just a way we can reward you for promoting PolyStar.

If you are active with the referalls, then it will be easy for you to accumulate credit for free reels, and have basically full sponsorship. Clubs and shops often order 10-20 reels every few months.

I didn't like them, they only strings I really like are TEcnifibre Pro Red Code, Luxilon Big Banger alu Rough, Babolat Natural Gut 17g and Genesis Spin x. I really haven't liked any of the other strings I've tried. I was with Kirschbaum for a little bit but couldn't get use to them. I have two shirts from Kirschbaum. One is black and the other is white, with Kirschabaum and the cherry logo on the back, plain on the front. I don't think polystar and mantis have them though.

hey thanks, even though i dont use it anymore. Is athletic dna a joke since i got it as well or are you gonna keep talking ****? I assume Mantis, and polystar are jokes also since i got both. So basically ginos sponsorship is a joke cuz anything i get is a joke

Ok, so talking like you're the man and bragging about getting easy sponsorships and continously shooting people down is ok? Doesn't feel so good the other way around does it? All those sponsorships, except ADNA are really easy to get, kids without rankings get them. But since you're in a weak section (I am too, New England isn't excatly tough) ADNA becomes easier to get. Truth hurts, don't it. If you didn't act like such an a hole to everyone then no one would attack you, but since many members (myself, Ronny, dantesinferno, babotennis just to name a few) have already pointed this out, so it's obviously not us, it's you.

They do not accept sectional rankings, I've already tried. Or you can be a top 5 adult player in a section or currently playing Di, DII, or DIII college tennis. Good luck. I'll see what Kirschbaum has to say before I commit to MANTIS. Can I play test strings before I send him my final application? I want to keep my options open, but I feel obligated to commit to one brand. The reason I want to pursue Kirschbaum is because I would like to get more than just string at a discount (clothes would be nice). Also if I dislike one string how can I switch brands?

Depends on what u get... if u get full I think u have to commit but if its just discounts then. I belive u can get as many as u want
