So watching the Korda match today, I am reminded again how old school his game looks. It's great, very smooth as
@beltsman said. If it weren't for the hair I'd never know we were in 2021, what with RBA's Ken doll hair cut.
The only caveat I have is that many of these players who have family in the ranks are often at an advantage over their peers. Mental toughness, court awareness, and great footwork can be taught. And Sebi, like Casper Ruud has great foot work and court awareness, and based on his steady play against a veteran like RBA, mental toughness.
The one problem for players like this is that when you get down to finer details, the stuff you can't teach, they have risen so far with their other advantages and talents that they are caught off guard. I think its great that he is working his way through the challengers. It let's him test his mettle.
I just don't know if we'll know if he has these intangibles until he plays one of the big 3 again.
